  • Vanessa & Oliver's Wedding at The Reid Rooms, Margaret Roding, Essex

A very heavy storm delayed the start of the Wedding Ceremony for Vanessa and Oliver at The Reid Rooms.  Whilst we were waiting for the storm to abate, we made use of the wonderful Farmhouse for pictures of Vanessa with her two daughters, Jasmin and Rosie, who were Bridesmaids.  Well done and thank you to Mary Briscoe for a quick change to the Wedding Ceremony arrangements due to the weather, most impressive!  After the Ceremony and between the showers we were able to take a few pictures outside, Vanessa was determined to go outside and we we more than happy to do that!  A thank you to Callum for helping out.  As the afternoon had been cut short due to the weather, David and I decided to return after the Wedding Breakfast for a few more pictures of the happy couple after the ground had dried out a little.  Here is what Vanessa and Oliver said by e-mail:-

“The pictures are amazing, better than we could have imagined. We’re going to have a job choosing!”

  • Bonny Baby Competition at Freeport

What a great fun day today photographing babies at Freeport  in conjunction with Marks & Spencer and raising funds for Farleigh Hospice. We descided to do a session and a print for just £5!! All money we donated to Farleigh, £125 in total!! Thanks to all the Mums, Dads and Grans who entered their little ones, two of whom are going to win some great prizes next Tuesday when the competition is judged at M&S Freeport. We have some really nice pictures so judging is going to be difficult!

Here is a great quote from one of our recent Brides:-
“we were at a wedding on Sun and the photographer was rubbish! He had on jeans and a t shirt and really wasn’t giving any direction. All day we were saying David wouldn’t be doing this! Thanks again to you and Sandra x”

  • Wedding Photography for Marie & Matt at Dalhousie Castle, Edinburgh

Our longest trip so far this year was to Dalhousie Castle, Edinburgh, Scotland, for the Wedding of Marie and Matt.  The couple decided to use us, as we are local to them, to meet and discuss their plans, rather than booking a Photographer nearer the Venue.  This worked really well for their big day.  Dalhousie Castle is a great Venue for Weddings, with friendly staff, wonderful food, together with numerous photographic opportunities.  Marie and Matt’s timings for the day allowed for some lovely relaxed informal pictures and together with the beautiful weather, it was perfect for us to do our job.  Our day finished with a couple of night shots of Marie and Matt with the Castle illuminated in the background.

  • Wedding Photography for Rebecca & Peter at Spains Hall, Finchingfield

Spains Hall, Finchingfield – We have had the opportunity of meeting Beccs and Pete at Pete’s sister’s Wedding a few years ago, as well as for portrait photographs and Engagement pictures in the meantime.  It was a busy but fun morning when David and I arrived at Crest Lodge, Spain’s Hall, Finchingfield, Essex, especially as there were eight Bridesmaids as well as the Bride getting ready!  It was lovely to see Katie and Elisha again as we had previously photographed their Weddings. Everybody was ready on time enabling us to take some lovely pictures before setting off for the Church.  St. Andrew’s Church, Barnston, was the Church that Bex and Pete wanted to be married in.  Bex and Pete were keen to do some pictures after the Church service in the Cornfield opposite the Church, which we did ,and achieved some lovely shots on a beautiful afternoon.  On our return to Spains Hall the Guests enjoyed drinks in the Gardens.  We photographed the Bride and Groom  for a short time, whilst the Guests were being seated for the Wedding Breakfast.  Later Bex and Pete wanted some evening pictures around Spains Hall and this resulted in some sunset pictures.  A lovely end to the day.

  • Wedding photography Testimonial

“All the photos you took were beautiful so it made choosing the final 70 VERY hard! ”

“Everyone commented on how fantastic you both were at the wedding, it really felt as if you were guests at our wedding rather than paid to be there!  The photos are just what we wanted, a mix of the more traditional posed shots and random relaxed ones that really capture the atmosphere, there were many tears shed when I took the DVD to school!”

  • A Testimonial for Wedding Photography at The Ritz, London

OMG!!! What can we say – we absolutely LOVE the photo’s!! We watched them when we came home (from honeymoon) at 1am this morning with my mum, dad, nan and grandad and we are all blown away!
You have both captured our day perfectly and we cannot believe how it tells a complete story of the day – it is truly amazing. We are lost for words and of course now have the terrible task of having to choose them.
Also we were thinking of putting all our photo’s on the jpeg for guests to see, except the ones of us getting ready etc – Alan  is a little uncomfortable of our guests seeing him in his pants, then there is me and my rollers and of course my dad is worried about his belly (lol..) Shall we let you know tonight where to start from?
we love the photo’s so much and are so happy we found you both (this feeling is echoed by my family and only 4 people have seen them so far!!)
    Thanks and see you soon

  • Wedding Photography for Sarah & Nicholas at Le Talbooth

Our second visit in a few weeks was to St Michael’s and All Saints Church, Copford, Essex, for the Wedding of Sarah and Woody.  After a few traditional family groups taken outside the Church, we left to go to the Reception at Le Talbooth, Dedham Essex.  As the Guests enjoyed socialising in the warm sunshine, we were able to capture the informal pictures of the day.  After the Wedding Breakfast and photographing the Speeches, we took a few more relaxed pictures of Sarah and Woody by the River Stour.  Shortly after the First Dance we left them to enjoy the party!Essex Wedding photographer
