Gosfield Hall Wedding Photography for Emily & Gareth

It was a lovely day for Emily and Gareth’s Wedding at this stunning Wedding Venue. On arrival at Gosfield Hall we met up with Emily, her Bridesmaids and Mother. Everybody was relaxed, enjoying Champagne whilst carrying out their preparations. Emily’s Wedding Dress and Accessories were in the Rococo Suite, so I split my time between taking pictures of these and capturing some getting ready pictures. Emily and Gareth’s colour scheme for the day was beautiful, with the flowers being provided by www.vikkibrowne.com. Meanwhile David went off to find Gareth who was in the bar greeting the arrival of the Wedding Guests. Leaving the Guests to look after themselves for a few minutes, Gareth with his Best Man and Ushers had a few pictures taken outside Gosfield Hall as well as inside. When David returned upstairs, the girls were in the wonderful Rococco Suite, getting dressed. Timings were spot on so we had time when everybody was dressed to take some pictures without hurrying. With all the Guests seated in the Queen’s Gallery, Emily escorted by her Father and with the Bridesmaids leading the way made their way to the Ceremony.

Gosfield Wedding PhotographerAfterwards, the Guests followed Emily and Gareth down the stairs and into the Courtyard. Everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception and during this time we got on with the family group pictures. In between we captured informal and fun pictures  which were going on. We took the ‘everybody’ picture in the courtyard for a change as that was where they all were and it worked well. Gosfield Hall Wedding PhotographerFor a few minutes we took the Bridal Party aside for a few relaxed and fun pictures. Wedding Photographer Gosfiedl HallThe Bridal party then returned to the Courtyard whilst we took Emily and Gareth for a few pictures around the grounds of Gosfield Hall. The Receiving Line was before the Wedding Breakfast in the Ballroom, with the Speeches following. Reactions during the Speeches made for some great pictures. Once these were finished everybody went into the gardens to enjoy the evening sunshine, participating in the Garden games if they wished. After a little while Emily and Gareth wanted a couple of pictures in the Rococo Suite which were happy to do. Cutting of their Wedding Cake and Emily and Gareth’s First Dance followed shortly after. Gosfield Hall Wedding Photographer Evening celebrations were now in full swing!  After capturing a flavour of the evening we left them to continue the party! A wonderful day!

Fennes Wedding Photography for Stacey & Michael

Fennes is a beautiful setting for a Wedding and it looked wonderful as we arrived for Stacey and Michael’s Wedding in May. Stacey was getting ready upstairs in the House and Michael was getting ready in the Lodges.  Stacey and Michael’s sons, Noah and Harry were with their Daddy, with the plan that they joined Stacey once she was dressed. Preparations were going well and they were all very relaxed.

Fennes Recommended Wedding PhotographerMichael, his Best Man, Ushers and the boys had a few photos taken when they were ready. Noah and Harry then went upstairs to the Bridal Room to see their Mummy, who looked amazing!  After taking some pictures of them all, it was time to go downstairs where Stacey met with the Registrars.  The Registrars made their way outside for the Ceremony and Stacey took her father’s arm and went into the Gold Room ready to walk outside. Fennes Wedding Photography for Stacey & Michael Noah and Harry happily led the way and during the Ceremony they handed over the rings. Following the Ceremony, everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception, the children were blowing bubbles, whilst adults mingled. In between we took some requested family pictures and later on managed to find time for some pictures of Stacey and Michael. Recommended Wedding Photographer FennesIt was soon time for the Wedding Breakfast which was held in the Pavilion. After the Speeches, there were garden games in the grounds which kept everybody entertained. Making the most of the evening sunshine Guests enjoyed strolling around the grounds which gave us the opportunity of taking some evening pictures of Stacey and Michael. When the Evening Guests arrived Stacey and Michael cut their Wedding Cake, which was followed by their First Dance.   Stacey and Michael provided their Guests props for ‘fun pictures’ which we captured.  A nice day provided a lovely sunset picture. Wedding Photography Woodhall Manor for Jade and Andy

We were delighted in more ways than one, to be asked to photograph Jade and Andrew’s Wedding at Woodhall Manor, Woodbridge, Suffolk. We had previous bookings when asked previously for Weddings at Woodhall Manor, so we were pleased when Jade and Andrew gave us their date for their Wedding and we were available! We arrived early at the stunning Wedding Venue,  Woodhall Manor, Woodbridge on the morning of Jade and Andrew’s Wedding with the staff preparing for an inside Ceremony. Although Jade and Andrew wanted an outside Ceremony it was considered the grass was rather wet so inside was planned.  First off we went to find Jade who was getting ready with her Bridesmaids.

Woodhall Manor Wedding PhotographerWhilst the girls were getting ready, David went off to find the men who were finishing off their preparations in the Cottage. During this time there was a quick turnaround with the Ceremony, outside it would be, the sun was out, the temperature was increasing rapidly and the grass was fine!Wedding Photographer Woodhall Manor Woodbridge SuffolkAfter taking some pictures of Andrew and his Groomsmen, as Jade and her Bridesmaids and Parents were ready we took a few pictures of them. Jade looked amazing! Soon it was time for the short walk to where the Wedding Guests were seated for the outside Ceremony. After the Ceremony, Jade and Andrew walked around the back of Woodhall Manor for the Drinks Reception and we had time for a couple of pictures of them before they were joined by their Guests.Wedding Photography Woodhall Manor Suffolk For a while everybody then mingled before we got on with taking the requested family group pictures, allowing us to capture some nice informal pictures. During the time before the Wedding  Breakfast we took Jade and Andrew for a short walk around the Venue for a few pictures of them. Just before the Wedding Breakfast in the Banqueting Suite we took an ‘e shot in front of the Manor House.  Coverage of the Speeches took place after the Wedding Breakfast then everybody went outside where Garden games were set up. It was a beautiful evening and during this time we had a chance to chat with Georgina (Andrew’s sister) and Simon, whose Wedding we photographed at The Fennes Estate in 2010. With the room set up for the evening celebrations Jade and Andrew cut their Wedding cake before taking to the dance floor for their First Dance together. Some evening pictures of Jade and Andrew ended our coverage of their wonderful Wedding Day. Witham Engagement Shoot – Natasha & Ryan

It was nice to see Natasha and Ryan again recently to have a chat about their Wedding.  It was 18 months ago when we met them for the first time and they booked us for their Wedding Photography. After finding an evening which was convenient for all of us, we went through their details of their Wedding.  It makes such a difference meeting our couples face to face and talking about their Wedding. The weather was kind to us, the flowers were out, when we took their pre-wedding pictures along our local Riverwalk.  Natasha and Ryan are getting married at St Nicolas Church Witham with a Reception at Down Hall Country Hotel.

Essex Wedding Photography – Spains Hall

It was a dry day for Annette and Jason’s Essex Wedding photography at Spains Hall, Finchingfield. Upstairs the girls were busy with their preparations and with lots of accessories and details to photograph, there was no time to lose! A little while later during the preparations, Mia, the Flowergirl, joined them and very happy to be part of what was going on. Meanwhile, Jason and his  Brother, Micky, who was theBest Man had arrived and before they began their Wedding duties they had a few pictures taken. Once Annette was dressed, her Dad came into the room to see his daughter.  A special moment, affecting us all!

Wedding Photographer Spains HallAfter the Greeting Line, everybody was seated in time for the Wedding Breakfast to be served. • 35 Years of Professional Wedding Photography

35 Years of Professional Wedding Photography

35 Years ago David photographed his Professional wedding assignment. In those days it was film so it had to be correct straight off, no digital “check it on the screen” and “can you correct that in Photoshop!!”

Jeannette and Martin were married at Braintree Register Office on 1st August 1981 and if I remember correctly it cost them about £45. It was shot on 35mm Kodak film on a Nikon FM (manual exposure, manual focus) with just a 50mmm lens.  We still have the negatives on file and all of the 1950 weddings we have photographed since then! Congratulations to Jeannette and Martin who are still married and now live in Bristol, we are still great friends. Thank you again to them, for having the faith to book in the first place!

We were delighted to receive these kind words from Alice and Pete.  Their wedding was at St Nicholas Church, Tolleshunt D’arcy  with a Marquee Reception at Alice’s family home.

    Dear David and Sandra,

Just a quick email to thank you once again for being our wedding photographers. Pete and I are delighted with the photo book and we know we will enjoy looking at the pictures for years to come.

    Kind Regards

    Alice

Marquee weddings are often booked at shorter notice so we regularly miss out. This is due to us being booked at one of the many venues where we are recommended. Alice and Pete booked us earlier for their Wedding and we were very pleased we were free!
