    Colchester Town Hall Photographer

Tara and Tom asked us to be their  Colchester Town Hall Photographer and afterwards at Green Island Gardens, Ardleigh, for their Summer Wedding.  It was a beautiful day when we arrived at Tara’s Parents’ home for Tara’s preparation pictures. Tara was having her hair finished and the Bridesmaids were putting their sarees on Everything was going well. When Mum was ready, she helped Tara put on her Wedding Dress. The garden was the place for a few pictures, giving a lovely backdrop and shade.  With a few portraits of Tara and a the pictures of the Bridesmaids and Family completed it was time for us to leave. Colchester Town Hall was where the Civil Ceremony was taking place. We left extra time for some known road closures and also holiday time traffic! turned out not to be a problem leaving us with sufficient time for Tom’s pictures with his Best Man and Ushers. We also managed a few Guest arrival pictures before they made their way up the stairs to the Moot Hall for the Ceremony.

Colchester Town Hall Photographer Tara arrived, we used the few minutes for a couple of pictures before she saw the Registrars and went upstairs.  With everybody seated Tara entered the impressive Moot Hall. Colchester Wedding Photographer Town Hall ColchesterAfter the formalities of the Ceremony, Tara and Tom went out of the room, paused on the stairs for a couple of pictures before heading downstairs. Tara and Tom then went outside into the brilliant sunshine and chatted a little while with their Guests, whilst the Chaffeur was opening the Champagne. Everybody then waved them off as they left the Town Hall for the Wedding Reception at Green Island Gardens. The Guests arrived, they made their way into the gardens for the Welcome Drinks and being entertained by a String Quartet. Tara and Tom arrived a while later. Whilst the Bridal Party were organising the confetti with the Guests, we took a few pictures of Tom and Tara. After being covered in confetti by their Guests, they then had time to socialise, whilst we took some informal pictures. We managed to  find a nice area in the shade to do the requested family pictures, followed by Tara and Tom’s pictures around the grounds as the time was racing by!  The Garden games proved to be a hit with the Guests during the rest of the afternoon and provided a few good reaction pictures.  Green Island Gardens Wedding PhotographerBeautiful backdrops and light! Evening Guests then started to arrive and after Tara and Tom spent a little time with them it was time for them all to move to the Marquee for the Wedding Breakfast.  It was at this point Tara and Tom went to get changed into traditional Sri Lankan clothing. They looked stunning! We were able to take a few pictures as they had to make their way over to the Marquee. Before the start of the meal the Father of the Bride made his Speech and after the main course, Tom made his Speech. Essex Wedding PhotographerA beautiful night sky appeared and we were able to capture this before the desserts were served.  Yuandi completed the Speeches later before the cake cutting.  Tara and Tom then took to the Dance Floor for their First Dance. Essex Wedding PhotographerThis was followed by a Bollywood Dance Workshop which was fun. A colourful, rewarding and fabulous day!  Thank you Tara and Tom for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers.

Pre-Wedding Pictures for Trish & Chris

Trish and Chris came to see us one afternoon before their Wedding at St Margaret’s Church, Downham, followed by a Reception at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon. After having a chat about their Wedding Day and filling in the details we then went out to take a few pictures of them. The time spent with Trish and Chris is enough to put them at ease, find out a bit more about them and be very relaxed! Happy with the outcome and now looking forward to their Wedding Day.

Wedding Photography Down Hall for Natasha and Ryan

It was nice to make a welcome return to the stunning Down Hall for Natasha and Ryan’s summer Wedding. Our day started early with our first trip of the day to Down Hall Country House Hotel, which is where Natasha was getting ready. On arrival Natasha was well on the way with her preparations, everything was running smoothly. This was a good thing as Natasha and Ryan’s Church Wedding was back in Witham at mid-day. Natasha’s Wedding Dress and Accessories were laid out ready to be photographed so we got on with doing these. The first of the Bridesmaids got dressed and then lent a helping hand, as did Mum,  in dressing Natasha. With Natasha ready we took a few pictures of her in the room whilst the Bridesmaids finished off their preparations.  We didn’t have to wait for long, which was great. We were then able to go out of the room onto the landing and stairs where there was more space and take a few pictures of all of them.

Wedding Photography Down Hall After a few pictures of Natasha we left to go to St Nicolas Church in Witham. Ryan was there when we arrived with his Best Man and Ushers.  It was at this time a shower of rain made an appearance but thankfully not for long! It had dried up by the time Natasha arrived. With the Guests seated in the Church, Natasha took her Father’s arm  and walked up the path to make her entrance. After the service, we quickly took a couple of pictures outside the Church, before the Guests lined the path for the confetti throwing.Essex Wedding Photographer It was then off to Down Hall for the Reception. We took a couple of pictures outside Down Hall as Natasha and Ryan arrived, Whilst the rest of the Guests were arriving we took them for a short walk around the grounds for their pictures. Wedding Photographer Down Hall Natasha and Ryan then had time to socialise with their Guests before we got on with the family pictures and fun Bridal pictures, which were great.  During this time the Guests were entertained by Natasha’s Uncle Gavin who is also a Magician. It was soon time for the Receiving Line prior to theWedding Breakfast. The Speeches followed before everyone came out of the room so it could be set up for the evening. It was a beautiful evening and the ‘golden hour’ beckoned. Once the room was ready, it was time for the cake cutting followed by Natasha and Ryan’s First Dance. Surprise! During their dance, the music changed, dancers emerged from the people watching and took to the dance floor! The Flashmob dance began! Natasha and Ryan’s Parents joined them as well!  Brilliant! What a performance! Down Hall Wedding Photographer Soon after this it was time for us to leave them to continue the celebrations. Congratulations to Natasha and Ryan on a lovely day! Well done to Natasha, your timings were impeccable! It was nice to work with Mark Greatbach again and for the first time Philip White Visuals.

Wedding Photography for Debbie & Gbenga

It was an early start for us for the wedding photography for Debbie and Gbenga. Debbie, her Mother and Bridesmaids were getting ready not at the family farm but at The Mill Hotel in Sudbury. Meeting with the girls in the room all the preparations were going well. Timings were spot on, we were able to take some getting ready pictures as well as a few of Debbie when she was dressed.

Essex Wedding PhotographerLeaving them we then went to meet with Gbenga and his Groomsmen. They were getting ready close to Debbie’s family home so we stopped off to see them.  We had a little time with them to capture a few preparation pictures.  For their portraits we found a shaded spot behind the cottage in the shelter of the trees as it was now a very hot day. Leaving them we then went the short distance to Debbie’s family home.  Waiting for us there were the two Flowergirls with their Mummies. Debbie wanted a couple of family pictures there before going to the Church. It worked well,  wethen left them and made our way to St Nicholas Church, Castle Hedingham. At Church we captured a few pictures of the guests as they arrived.  Debbie arrived with her Father shortly afterwards and walked down the path and into the Church.Wedding Photography Essex After the service, using the shelter of the trees from the sun, we got on with taking the requested family group pictures. This worked well and it wasn’t many minutes before we were able to leave for the Reception. The Marquee  was set up in the grounds of Debbie’s Parents Farm so we quickly took a few pictures of the details before we took some informal pictures of the Guests who were enjoying the Drinks Reception. Debbie and Gbenga arrived a little later, making for some great pictures as they entered the farm. Marquee Wedding Photographer EssexDebbie and Gbenga then enjoyed some social time with their Guests before some fun bridal party shots.  We took Debbie and Gbenga’s pre-wedding pictures at the Farm earlier in the summer so knew the opportunities for their ‘together’ pictures. We were looking forward to take these. Although still rather hot we took a few pictures of them around but decided to take some more later on. When everybody was seated for the Wedding Breakfast, one person who was designated from each table, put on an apron and took on the job of carving the joint of beef for their party. After the meal the Speeches followed.  It was a beautiful evening and more pictures beckoned! Debbie and Gbenga were more than happy to have a few pictures around the lake and then go into the cornfield.  Wonderful!Wedding Photographer Essex After Debbie and Gbenga’s First Dance a little later we then said our ‘goodbyes’.  A most rewarding day of wedding photography.

Hylands House Wedding Photography for Adelle & Danny

Hylands House Wedding Photography for Adelle and Danny’s Wedding was well worth waiting for! Hylands House is set in a magnificent park on the outskirts of Chelmsford, Essex, and it it has been too long since our previous visit!.Hylands House Wedding Photographer There was an extra special feeling about this Wedding for us considering we have known Adelle for a number of years as she grew up as a friend of our daughter.  When we arrived at Hylands House we went upstairs to see Adelle who was in the wonderful Bridal Room, with her Bridesmaids and Mother. Adelle was sipping her Champagne whilst her hair was being finished whilst Gemma, her twin sister, and cousin and Mum were getting ready. David met Danny, his Best Man and Ushers, downstairs for their pictures. Spoilt for choice where to take the pictures we did a few outside and a few inside Hylands House. Wedding Photographer Hylands House Time then for them to greet the Guests. Everything was going smoothly upstairs and it wasn’t long before it was time for Gemma to assist Adelle with getting her dress on. Wow! Adelle looked amazing! Hylands House Wedding Photographer With the Guests seated in the Drawing Room, Adelle took her Father’s arm and walked down the staircase with the Bridesmaids leading the way. Adelle entered the Drawing room to the sound of the piano, played by her friend Claire (who we also know very well), superb! After saying their vows and the Ceremony completed, they left the Drawing Room and went into the hall where the Reception Drinks were being served. The sun was out, it was getting warmer and warmer and the guests were directed out the back of the House.  There was a reason for keeping everyone from going out the front of Hylands House. Adelle and Danny chatted with their Guests until we got the nod that another star of the day was here! Hylands House Wedding PhotographerAlthough Adelle and Danny and a couple of close confidants knew Adelle’s horse would be making an appearance, nobody else did!  It was so nice to be there to capture the moments when Adelle and Danny and their Guests went outside. Added to this, Adelle and Danny’s dog  put in an appearance as well. After all, he was at their pre-wedding shoot! Hylands House Wedding PhotographyWe got on after a few minutes with the requested family pictures followed by some fun Bridal pictures and a few pictures of Adelle and Danny. After a break in the shade, a little later the confetti pictures were taken on the steps to the side of Hylands House before it was time to go into the Banqueting Hall. Time for the Speeches! Brilliant! Great reactions! Afternoon Tea was then served.  During this time Spencer Wood went around the tables providing ‘Magical’ entertainment. The guests enjoyed going outside to cool off and socialise before the evening entertainment in the Marquee.  Just before the evening Guests arrived we took Adelle and Danny to the formal gardens for a few pictures in the golden evening sun. On our return Adelle and Danny greeted their evening Guests before it was time for their First Dance. A brilliant rehearsed First Dance!Wedding Photographer Hylands House Leica MThe best place to see the sunset was past the far end of the car park so  it was a quick car ride!  We were back before people had noticed! After capturing some pictures of the evening Guests, we finally put our cameras down and chilled out! So lovely to see so many familiar faces and have catch ups.  Thank you Adelle and Danny for asking us to provide your Wedding Photography, it was a pleasure and a privilege.  A fabulous Wedding Day of Hylands House Wedding Photography for a wonderful couple!

Wedding Photography The Lawn – Tracy and Ben

It was lovely to be back at the wonderful Wedding Venue, The Lawn for the Wedding of Tracy and Ben. The weather was beautiful and the setting was glorious. Wedding Photographer EssexTracy was getting ready in the Bride’s Room in the Manor House together with her Bridesmaids, and Mum. Tracy and the girls were enjoying the moments of the day and it was nice to capture these. Meanwhile, Ben was outside, having arrived and greeting a few Guests. We managed to prise him away for some pictures of him and his Groomsmen before more Guests arrived. Tracy and the girls were now ready. Tracy’s Grandad was giving her away so there were some lovely joyful  moments when he first saw her, Tracy looked lovely. Whilst waiting for the Guests to be seated for the Ceremony, the Flowergirls enjoyed watching from above the activities. The Bridesmaids and Flowergirls led the way when all was ready, followed by Tracy accompanied by her Grandad. Wedding Photographer The LawnAfter the Ceremony Tracy and Ben with their glass of Champagne went outside into the sunshine. The Guests followed and they all socialised for a little while, allowing for us to get some natural shots. Wedding Photography The LawnDuring the afternoon we took the requested family pictures and later pictures of Tracy and Ben around the grounds, finishing off with the confetti pictures on the steps.Wedding Photographer Essex The Wedding Breakfast beckoned, so the Guests took their places leaving Tracy and Ben a few minutes by themselves.  Making sure they had chilling out time, just before they went inside a couple of pictures of Tracy swirling her dress. The Orangery looked lovely! In fact the colours Tracy and Ben had chosen for their Wedding was superb.  After the meal it was time for the Speeches. Good Speeches, great reactions! Once these were completed everybody went outside to enjoy the evening sunshine.  The Flowergirls went off to enjoy the freedom of playing and running about on the lawn as they had done earlier in the afternoon  as Tracy and Ben’s evening Guests arrived. After Tracy and Ben had greeted a few of them we took them for a few pictures inside the house upstairs and on the balcony. Tracy threw her bouquet afterwards from the Balcony to the waiting girls below. Great pictures! After cutting their Wedding Cake, Tracy and Ben took to the dance floor for their First Dance, followed by their Guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better sunset,  it was brilliant! Tracy and Ben then rejoined their Guess to continue dancing which is when we said ‘goodbye’. A wonderful day and a lovely couple!Essex Wedding Photographer

It was a beautiful day for Layer Marney wedding photography for Teri and Robert. Teri was getting ready at her Parents’ house, where our coverage started. With just Teri and her Parents at home it was nice to be able to take our time a little bit more with all the pictures.  Everything was going well and once Teri was in her Wedding Dress, we went downstairs and into the lounge for a few bridal portraits.Layer Marney Wedding PhotographyHappy with what we had taken we then left them and went to Layer Marney. We met with Robert and his Groomsmen and walked around to the front of the tower for their pictures. The Bridesmaids and Flowergirls had arrived and were awaiting the arrival of Teri who was being driven by Graham in the Layer Marney car. Robert and his Groomsmen made their way upto the Corsellis Room.  Teri arrived and we took a few pictures of her with the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls before the Ceremony.  Afterwards Teri and Robert went for a short drive in the Layer Marney car whilst their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception. After a short while the Guests waited on the steps for Teri and Robert as they returned and walked up the path to the Tower. Making sure the happy couple  have time to socialise and enjoy the Drinks Reception is always important and this is where we capture a few nice informal pictures of the guests. Taking the requested family pictures happened a little later before we took Teri and Robert for a short walk around Layer Marney, including the barn and lake.Layer Marney Tower Wedding PhotographerTeri & Robert wanted a relaxed wedding that they and their guests could enjoy together with a few ‘professional photographs’ – it is always a pleasure to deliver what is requested!
Recommended Wedding Photographer Layer Marney TowerTeri and Robert chose to have their Speeches before the start of the Wedding Breakfast so they could fully relax and enjoy themselves. This worked well. Afterwards whilst waiting for the band to set up Guests took a stroll around the grounds or stayed and chatted in the Long Gallery.
