Outdoor Engagement session for Amy & Tom

Last year in the Autumn we met with Amy and Tom for an outdoor Engagement session at Danbury Lakes. This is one of  one of the nicest places to take an outdoor Engagement session particularly with the Autumn colours!  Meeting here and taking some pictures of Amy and Tom meant a great deal to them as it holds very special memories for them. We had a nice walk taking relaxed pictures as we went and talked about their forthcoming Wedding at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer in the Spring this year.

Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Nicola and Robert

Prested Hall was the chosen Wedding Venue for Nicola and Rob’s Wedding. Arriving at Prested Hall we went upstairs to see Nicola. It was nice and relaxed up there with Nicola having the finishing touches applied to her hair and make-up. Robert was downstairs and once he was ready we took a few pictures of him, and a a couple of pictures with his Parents, Brother and Nephews. Robert then went off to join his Guests. Once Nicola was ready, her Father came into the room and saw her before we got on with a few pictures. Recommended Wedding Photographer Prested HallIt was soon time for the Wedding Ceremony.  This was going to take place in the Garden Room once the Guests were seated. The children led the way. Keiran and Issac were the Ringbearers and theywere followed into the room by Ellie the Flowergirl.  After that Nicola taking her Father’s arm made her entrance. Some lovely moments. 1971 4After the Ceremony everybody socialised in the Lounge area for a little while, where we were able to capture some informal pictures. Wedding Photographer Essex Prested HallA little while later as it was dry and fine day,  everyone went outside for a group picture followed by a few requested family pictures. Leaving the Guests for a few minutes we took Robert and Nicola for a few pictures around the grounds of Prested Hall. Not keeping them too long, we managed to take some nice pictures on and over the bridge.  This was  late Autumn and the light was going fast. Later, finishing off with a  picture as the sun was going down was an added bonus.Prested Hall Wedding Photography Returning we took a few more requested pictures before we took Nicola and Robert into the Orangery to take a picture of them with their Wedding Cake. It was then time for the Wedding Breakfast.  Once everyone had taken their seats we took table shots.  Our coverage of Nicola and Robert’s Wedding finished once the meal was served. Congratulations Nicola and Robert, it was a lovely Wedding and we wish you all the best.

Barn Brasserie Wedding Photography for Susannah & Keane

Before the Wedding of Susannah and Keane at The Barn Brasserie, Great Tey, we visited The Crowne Plaza, Colchester.  Susannah was getting ready there, everybody was relaxed and preparations were going well. Capturing a flavour of the day’s happenings was our aim.Essex Wedding Photographer Emily, Susannah’s daughter and the Flowergirls, Ruby and Susie were soon ready and we were able to take a few pictures of them in the adjoining room. Susannah was ready shortly after and following a couple of photos we left them to make our way to The Barn at Great Tey. We met with Keane and his Brother, Damien and took their pictures outside before the Guests arrived. This Autumn day went very well with the colours Susannah and Keane chose for their Wedding. Whilst waiting for Susannah to arrived we took a few Guest arrival pictures. The rain started just as Susannah arrived so under the shelter of umbrellas she was quickly ushered into the room to see the Registrars.  We had a few minutes afterwards to get a couple of Bridal portraits. The Civil Ceremony took place in the Barn and once everybody was seated, Susannah made her way in escorted by Emily. Following the Ceremony, Susannah and Keane greeted their Guests and enjoyed the Drinks Reception and Canapés. Barn Brasserie Wedding Photography As the weather was not playing ball we had to take the requested family group pictures inside.  Fortunately, these Group pictures were not too big so we found space in the bar to do these. Later Susannah and Keane were quite happy to go outside for a few pictures of them. It was a warm day and the rain was on and off, we decided to chance it! It worked well, happy with a few pictures we returned to the Guests. An ‘everybody’ picture was wanted which we managed to do inside with the aid of our lighting kit. Wedding Photographer The Barn BrasserieSoon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The meal was superb! Coverage of the Speeches followed the meal. Susannah and Keane’s Evening Guests then arrived. As the rain had stopped Susannah and Keane had a couple of evening pictures taken outside including them being covered with rose petals.Essex Wedding Photographer After cutting their Wedding Cake, Susannah and Keane had their First Dance. A little later we left them to continue the evening celebrations. A great couple and a lovely day!

Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel

We were looking forward to being Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel in the Autumn last year. Having known Hannah for a long time it was a pleasure to be part of Hannah and Daniel’s special day. Our day started at Hannah’s Parents’ house, where Hannah was getting ready with the Bridesmaids. Whilst preparations were going on we took a few pictures of the accessories (loved Hannah’s shoes!) and details.

Essex Wedding PhotographerEllie, Ruby and Kitty, the younger Bridesmaids and Pip, the Pageboy, were the first to be ready and looked wonderful in the colour scheme Hannah and Daniel had chosen. We took a few pictures of them as Hannah was getting dressed. Wow! Hannah looked amazing in her Wedding Dress! Just enough time for a few pictures of Hannah with her Parents, Gil and Michael and Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboy, before we left. Marks Hall,Coggeshall.  It was lovely to be back there again after not being there for a while. It was a dry, bright day and fingers crossed it would remain so. Dan was there with his Groomsmen and we had a little time to take a few pictures. Wedding Photographer Marks HallThe sun broke through for the pictures. The men then greeted  the Guests giving us the opportunity to take a few informal pictures. Hannah and the girls arrived soon after and made their way inside.  Hannah and Dan hoped for suitable weather for an outside Ceremony and luckily got this!  Guests took their seats. Hannah took her Father’s arm and they made their way outside for the Ceremony. Wedding Photographer Marks Hall After the Ceremony, Hannah and Dan had time to enjoy the Drinks Reception outside with their Guests. After a short while we got on with the requested family pictures. With these finished everyone continued socialising. Later we took Hannah and Dan for a short time down to the Lake for a few together pictures before the Bridal Party joined us. Fun pictures at the Lake! During the afternoon other pictures were taken finishing with the confetti pictures.  Hannah and Dan chose to have the Speeches before the meal so they could really relax and enjoy the food. Once this was finished Hannah and Dan cut their Wedding Cake and the band set up for the evening entertainment.  This gave time for Guests to enjoy a stroll around the grounds and gave us an opportunity for a few extra minutes with Hannah and Dan. The sunset beckoned! We could not have asked for a better evening! The  Guests made their way to the dance floor ready for Hannah and Dan’s First Dance.   After a few songs, Dan then surprised Hannah by singing with the Band as well. Later during the evening the sparklers were lit and these made for some great pictures.Marks Hall Wedding Photographer That was the end of our coverage of Hannah and Dan’s Wedding although we stayed until late! We arrived at Sarah’s Parents’ home in the morning of Sarah and Ian’s Wedding Day. Hair and Make-up was in the finishing stages so we got on with taking a few pictures and a few pictures of Sarah’s accessories etc.

Once Sarah, her Bridesmaids, Parents and Brother were ready we went outside for some pictures.  The sun was shining and we all wanted to make the most of the weather. We left then to travel to Ipswich School  which was the Venue for the Wedding Ceremony.

We met with Ian and his Groomsmen and took a few pictures of them before too many of the Guests arrived. Just as we had finished their pictures a few spots of rain fell so the Guests quickly made their way into the School. The Bridesmaids arrived and waited for Sarah to arrive which wasn’t long after. Under the shelter of brollies we all made our way inside.1962 3

Sarah and Ian were to be married in the splendid Chapel so when it was time Sarah took her Father’s arm and made her entrance. After the Ceremony Sarah and Ian led their Guests outside, the rain which was predicted to last all afternoon, had stopped! We quickly got on with taking the requested group pictures as we had a lovely backdrop. During this time our fingers were crossed the weather would hold out. Phew! We managed to take the pictures and the confetti pictures as well.  1962 5

It was at this point our luck ran out! Off we all went for the Wedding Reception at Priory Hall, Hadleigh. Sarah and Ian wanted a few pictures outside when we arrived at Priory Hall so we took these straight away with the aid of some brollies but you would hardly know it was pouring! As the Guests arrived they enjoyed the Drinks Reception inside Priory Hall together with Sarah and Ian.

The evening celebrations were held in the main hall  and a little later Sarah and Ian had their First Dance. Soon after we left them to continue the celebrations. Sarah, you smiled all day long despite some challenging moments, thank you..  A lovely day!

It was a lovely day for the Wedding of Clare and Michael at Layer Marney Tower, Colchester.  Clare was getting ready at her home so that is where we started our coverage. On our arrival we were met by Clare, her Mother and the Bridesmaids. Everybody was happy and relaxed with preparations well in hand. After taking a picture of the girls in their Dressing Gowns with the Champagne, it was time for them to get dressed. The Bridesmaids looked wonderful in their Poppy Red Bridesmaid dresses, with Clare looking amazing in her Wedding Dress. After taking a couple of pictures inside as it was dry and warm we all went outside for a few more. Leaving them we made our way to Layer Marney Tower, Layer de la Haye. Michael was there, looking very smart in his uniform, with his Best Man and Ushers. We had time to take some pictures  before the Registrars needed Michael before the Ceremony. The Layer Marney Double Decker Bus arrived with some of the Guests so we took a few pictures as they arrived. The Guests made their way to the Corsellis Room and it wasn’t long before Clare arrived in the Layer Marney vintage Rolls Royce.

Layer Marney Wedding Photographer Clare took her Father’s arm and made her way into the Corsellis Room. After the Ceremony, Clare and Michael went for a ride in the car whilst their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception outside in the grounds of Layer Marney. Clare and Michael returned a little later and arrived at the bottom gate. They walked up the path towards the Tower as their Guests took pictures of them from the top of the steps. Following spending some time with their Guests during the Drinks Reception we got on with the requested family pictures. After a break we then took Clare and Michael for a quick walk around the Layer Marney grounds. This included going to the lake and the barn, ending up with some nice pictures.
