Jane and Alan were married at Greenwoods Hotel, Ingatestone, in 2009 so it was nice to see them again, and meet their son, Harrison. They were down from Scotland visiting Jane’s Mum and wanted a few pictures of all of them. It was a beautiful morning and the garden proved to be a good spot for their pictures where we could have some control over the light but allow Harrison to be relaxed.
After photographing Bill Rose a couple of months ago with the rest of the Town Council, David was delighted to be asked to take this year’s Official Portrait. A picture of Bill was required to be framed and added to the wall in the Council Chamber along with all the other past Witham Mayors. Although David has done this many times previously and can almost do it his eyes shut, it still feels like a great honour to be involved with the Mayor’s Portrait. Pictures which will be there for many years as part of the Town’s history.
It was nice to be asked by Neil to photograph his sister’s special Birthday celebrations.
A glorious day for a Garden party! Taking some requested family group pictures as well as some informal portraits we provided Sue with memories of her special day. The family train provided some additional great fun for the children.
Having been part of a number of events (weddings, christenings, family portraits) for this family it was lovely to see some familiar faces and sample the wonderful food by Sue Eastall Personal Catering Limited.
It was nice to see Nicola again with members of her family, and to meet for the first time Annaliese, her daughter. Updated pictures was the request, since the last time we took some was in 2011. We photographed each child separately, with their sibling and as a group.
The Christmas Portraits – we sometimes get asked why we don’t have lots of children’s portraits on the blog in the run up to Christmas. Simple really, we would not wish to spoil anybody’s surprise by the recipient paying a chance visit to our website! Here are a few we did in the run up to Christmas:-
Childrens Portraits -We photographed Rachel and Jon’s wedding in 2010 since when they have moved to Luxembourg, so it was a delight to meet them again whilst we were photographing Emma and David’s wedding at Gosfield Hall. As Rachel and Jon’s sons were not at the wedding we made a separate appointment to photograph them and also Rachel’s sisters children at the same time. What a beautiful morning we chose! Rachel’s sister’s garden was wonderful and provided us with ample opportunities of capturing some nice Children’s Portraits in a natural environment.
The last time we took some pictures of Matilda was when she was a baby, now it was just before her First Holy Communion. We took a range of portraits in the garden to mark the event.
Last year, Val, who is an Essex Registrar, asked us to take some family portraits of her grandchildren. They were altogether at Christmas and it was a chance for us to do so. We had a fun morning and it was great to see Jennie again, Val’s daughter, whose Wedding we photographed at Crabbs Barn, back in 2007!
Lovely to see Ellis, Declan and their son, Kaiden, again and take some family pictures as well as a few of Kaiden by himself.
It was lovely to see Tina, Stuart, Emily and Isobel again. Since Tina and Stuart were married at Layer Marney Tower in 2004, we have seen them several times for various pictures of their family. This time it was for a family portrait for Tina’s Mum’s Birthday.
