It was a cold but dry day when we arrived at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, for the Wedding of Natasha and Mark. Natasha was getting ready in the Bridal Suite together with her Bridesmaid, Khadyah, and as the time progressed we captured the images. When Natasha was ready, her Dad greeted her and after a few pictures it was time to take the short walk to the Barn for the Civil Ceremony, where close family and friends were waiting. Natasha and Mark wanted an intimate and relaxed day with their close family and friends. Following the Ceremony, Natasha and Mark had a little while by themselves before we took a few pictures of them. Not wanting to keep them outside very long, we managed their time very well and achieved some nice images.
With their Guests enjoying the Reception Drinks and Natasha and Mark joining them, in between we took a few family group pictures inside the Garden Room together with some informal pictures. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the barn on one big table, which made for a wonderful intimate atmosphere.
Coverage of the Speeches followed before the start of the evening Reception. As more Guests arrived for the Evening Reception we took some informal pictures of them before the cutting of the cake and the First Dance. To finish our day we took a couple of pictures of the happy couple outside the Barn.

We were delighted to receive this ‘thank you’ from Diane and Ken:-
Thank you so much for making such a great job of our wedding photos at Crabbs Barn in October 2012. They were all so lovely it was so hard to choose which ones we wanted. We had a fantastic day and you both made us feel so at ease.

Pre-Wedding Pictures
Not long before Natasha and Mark’s Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, they came and saw us to go over the details of their Wedding. A very short walk (it was rather cold!) followed, to take some pre-wedding pictures.
Melissa and Dave’s Wedding was booked over a year ago so it was good to catch up with them one evening and go over the details of their Wedding soon at Marks Hall, Coggeshall.

Wedding Photography for Diane & Ken – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was a busy morning for Diane at her Parents’ house getting ready for her special day. After taking a few pictures of preparations, and as we had a journey to get to Crabbs Barn, it was decided to catch up on some of the pictures later on. The rain clouds were holding off as we arrived at Crabbs Barn allowing us to get some pictures of Ken and his Dad, who was Best Man. After the Civil Ceremony, we quickly took a few pictures of Diane and Ken and their son Oliver with the car, outside Crabbs Barn, which Oliver thoroughly enjoyed!
During the Drinks Reception, with the Guests enjoying the sunshine and the children playing with the garden games, we took a few family group pictures, together with those we did not have time to do earlier. Making sure Diane and Ken had some social time we were able to steal them away for a few minutes for their portraits around Crabbs Barn before the Wedding Breakfast.
The time of the sunset was during the wedding breakfast but thanks goes to Paul, the Manager at Crabbs Barn for adjusting the timings of the courses so Diane and Ken could have the pictures they wanted.
After capturing some of the evening celebrations and guests we ended our day .

Thank you
To David and Sandra,We would like to say a huge thank you to you both for everything you did for our wedding. On the day you were friendly and welcoming to everyone and so many people have told us how nice you were. Since the wedding you have been incredible. To get a preview of wedding pictures to us before our honeymoon was so thoughtful of you and much appreciated. To top everything off, your pictures are amazing. Our album is perfect and so too are the parent albums. We love showing it to people and they have all said how brilliantly it tells the story of the day in such a high quality album.Overall you have captured our wedding day in a way that we will always treasure. You are fabulous photographers and such special people. We will never hesitate to recommend you to our friends and family and will remember that you do a portrait service that I know we will use in the future.Thank you so much for everything, -
Wedding Photography for Laura & Shane – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, Essex
Laura was getting ready for her Wedding at the Middiford Barn, Great Wigborough, which is where our coverage of Laura and Shane’s Wedding started. It was a dry, pleasant day but very windy so we took a few pictures of Laura inside the Barn rather than outside.
After a little while we left to go to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, and once there took a few pictures of Shane before Laura arrived.
Following the Civil Ceremony everybody socialised outside during the Drinks Reception. Some requested family group pictures were taken in between capturing the atmosphere and informal pictures.
Just before the Wedding Breakfast, Laura, we spent a few minutes around Crabbs Barn creating some pictures of Laura and Shane. The early evening sun after the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches gave us a wonderful opportunity for a few more photographs of the happy couple before their evening Guests arrived. Once it was dark Laura and Shane released a few illuminated balloons before their First Dance .

The weather was kind to us on the morning we met Ellie and Danny at Ellie’s parents’ house for a chat about their Wedding and a few pre-wedding pictures. Ellie and Danny wanted a couple pictures of them with Ellie’s horse as well a few of them on their own and we happily obliged. Ellie and Danny are getting married this year at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.

Wedding Photography for Alison & Nathan – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was our first visit to Jepcracks Barn, Great Totham, which is where Alison and her family were getting ready and we were very impressed. With the converted barn being so light, it made for some nice images. Everything was running well and being happy with what we had captured we left to go to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon. On arrival, Guests who had arrived, were enjoying the sunshine in the grounds of Crabbs Barn. It was nice to see some familar faces again, seen at previous Weddings. After taking a few pictures of Nathan and his Best Men, and with Nathan safely inside the Barn, Alison arrived with her Father and Bridesmaids. Following the Civil Ceremony, everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception, in between some requested family pictures. During the afternoon a few fun Bridal Party pictures were taken and a few Bride and Groom portraits around Crabbs Barn.
Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast in the Barn, followed by everyone exiting the Barn enjoying the early evening warmth. We took Alison and Nathan down the lane beside the Barn for a short while and captured some lovely shots, including some wonderful sunset pictures, thank you Alison and Nathan!
Evening Guests arrived before the First Dance and shortly afterwards it was time for us to leave.

Wedding Photography for Rebecca & Colin – St. Peter's Church, Boxted & Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
Our day started at Rebecca’s Parents’ house with some pictures of Rebecca, together with her Parents, Bridesmaids, and James the Pageboy, who is Rebecca and Colin’s son. All was running smoothly and some lovely images were taken. We then made our way to St. Peter’s Church, Boxted, to take a few pictures of Colin, Best Man and Ushers, before Rebecca arrived. The weather forecast for the rest of the day was not looking very good at all so we all decided to take the majority of the group pictures outside the Church, after the service, before the rain clouds that were lurking in the distance arrived! What a good call that was as by the time we reached Crabbs Barn, the heavens had opened! Whilst the Guests had the Drinks Reception, we took Rebecca and Colin for a few Bride and Groom portraits in the Barn.
Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, and as the rain had stopped, Rebecca, Colin, David and I went for a short stroll around Crabbs Barn for a few extra pictures before the evening Reception.
First Dance pictures and informal pictures of Rebecca and Colin’s evening Guests were taken before we left them to enjoy the remainder of their special day.
