  • Colchester Castle Wedding Photography – Rebecca & Lee

It was a Colchester Castle Wedding for Rebecca and Lee in June last year.

    Colchester Castle

Rebecca and Lee wanted a few pictures as arrived at the Castle for the Ceremony, pictures in the Ceremony, followed by some family pictures outside. We were very happy to provide them with this coverage.

Rebecca and Lee had wonderful weather for their Wedding Day. Arriving at the Castle, we took a few pictures before going inside. Their Guests made their way upto the roof top pavilion. Once they were seated, Lee followed after seeing the Registrars. Rebecca was next, being careful as she went, especially in a stunning Wedding dress. It was quite narrow. The room was bathed in sunshine, it was very hot! We took a few pictures during the Ceremony and afterwards.

Then the Guests went down and out of the Castle to get ready for the confetti. On the way from the top of the castle to ground level we took a few pictures on the very atmospheric stairways.

Rebecca and Lee left the castle after being covered in confetti and greeted their Guests. and walked to the side of the castle for some pictures.

At the time we wanted to use the setting of the pond and gardens,we were fortunate there were not many people about there. Once the family photos were taken we took a few pictures of Rebecca and Lee.

Fulfilling all the required pictures for the day we said goodbye to Rebecca and Lee. A wonderful intimate Wedding!

  • Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography

Lovely to be back earlier in the Spring at one of our favourite WeddingVenues, Layer Marney Tower. With it’s new Barn up and running, what a nice addition to this beautiful Venue.

Lots going on for the Wedding of Andrea and Terry on a beautiful Spring day this year. Starting at their home, then a visit to the local pub where the Layer Marney Bus was waiting to take Terry and some guests off to Layer Marney.

Layer Marney Tower looked glorious as Andrea and Terry’s Guests arrived. Once Andrea arrived the Wedding Ceremony started.

Afterwards everybody enjoyed the drinks and canapes in the gardens.

Spencer Wood of kept Guests entertained throughout afternoon. Nice seeing you again Spencer! We enjoyed taking great informal pictures whilst waiting for Andrea and Terry to return from their car ride.

Ending the afternoon, pictures of Andrea and Terry around the grounds for their togther pictures finishing with confetti on the stairs.

After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches., Guests had the choice of staying outside or going inside the new Barn for the evening celebrations and later the First Dance.

Fireworks finished a wonderful Wedding Day for Andrea and Terry.

  • Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography for Sarah & Ben

    Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography

In the summer last year we provided Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography for Sarah and Ben. It was a lovely warm day when we arrived at Wivenhoe House. We went up to see Sarah, who was getting ready with her daughter, Mia, and her Bridesmaids. All the girls were relaxed and enjoying the time they had in the beautiful room they were getting ready in, before it was time to get dressed. Finishing touches were being applied whilst we got on with taking a few pictures of Sarah’s Wedding Dress and Accessories.

It was nice seeing Sam being Sarah’s Matron of Honour. A few years ago, Sarah was Bridesmaid at Sam’s Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, in 2015. David went off to find Ben who was with his son, Jacob and his Best Man, Liam. Their pictures were taken outside in the grounds. Guests were starting to arrive and enjoyed socialising in the sunshine. Meanwhile Sarah and the girls were getting dressed and Mum and Dad joined us once everyone was ready. We got on with taking some pictures, then it was time for to go outside for the Ceremony.

    Outdoor Ceremony

As we got downstairs, the clouds had gathered and suddenly spots of rain appeared! Thankfully as Sarah taking her Father’s Arm walked towards the Gazebo, by the time she reached it no spots! The sun reappeared and all was well! Phew! The Gazebo looked wonderful and the colour scheme chosen by Sarah and Ben looked lovely.

    Drinks and Pictures

After the Ceremony the Drinks Reception took place. When we took the requested family pictures, it was so nice to have the space to do these not far from everyone. Garden games kept everyone entertained, especially the children, during the afternoon. We took Sarah and Ben for a short walk to the lake for their pictures later.

On our return the Guests threw confetti over Sarah and Ben before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Sarah and Ben chose to have a BBQ and this went down very well with everyone. The Speeches were after the meal. The evening light was wonderful so after the Speeches we took Sarah and Ben for a few minutes around Wivenhoe House for a few pictures. Sarah and Ben cut their Wedding Cake a little later followed by their First Dance. We captured a flavour of the evening with some informal pictures before Sarah and Ben’s sunset pictures. Thank you Sarah and Ben for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers. It was a wonderful day of Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography! Nice to catch up with Craig as well as Sam at the Wedding.

  • Stock Street Farm Barn Wedding Photography for Kerri-Anne & Wayne

Stock Street Farm Barn Wedding Photography for Kerri-Anne and Wayn. Their Wedding Day started at St Albrights Church, Stanway. We started our coverage of their Wedding at the Church meeting Wayne and his Best Man there. They were busy greeting Guests as they arrived so we captured a few of these pictures.

Finding a gap we took a couple of pictures of Wayne. The weather was holding up, it was a windy bright day, we were just hoping the storm clouds would not come our way! It was soon time for Wayne and the Wedding Guests to go into the Church as Kerri-Anne arrived. Her Father’s American Pick Up Truck was the mode of transport for her arrival. There was a little time to take a few pictures of Kerri-Anne and her Bridesmaids before they entered the Church.

After the Church Service, Kerri-Anne and Wayne exited the Church followed by the Guests. They showered them with confetti on the pathway before we got on with taking a few requested family pictures. After Kerri-Anne and Wayne talked for a short time with their Guests we all made our way to Stock Street Barn.

    Stock Street Farm Barn Reception

Once there everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception. There were garden games for everyone to play and these kept them all entertained. Some nice informal pictures were taken during the afternoon in the sunshine. Whilst this was going on we managed to take Kerri-Anne and Wayne for a short walk around to take a few pictures of them.

    Stock Street Farm Barn wedding

A BBQ was held for everyone in the Barn shortly after. After the meal, it was time for a couple of Speeches. Once these were completed, the dancing started, around the tables, making for some nice pictures.

    Fun and Games!

    Stock Street Farm Barn fun

Afterwards, before the evening celebrations started, Michael, the Owner of Stock Street Farm Barn invited those into the field, who wanted to have some extra fun. Children and Adults participating in Sack races, very funny! When they changed to the Space Hoppers, that was even funnier! Trying to take pictures with a camera in our hands in between our bouts of laughter was hard! With these finished Kerri-Anne and Wayne went back into the Barn and cut their Wedding Cake before their First Dance. The Rock and Roll Band was set up and the evening was in full swing. Our last picture of Kerri-Anne and Wayne’s Wedding Day was as the sun was setting.

  • Colchester Castle Wedding Photography for Kim & Mike

Kim and Mike got in touch with us last year to see if we could take their Colchester Castle Wedding Photography. They wanted a short coverage to capture their Wedding Day.

    A Walk through the park

On the day of their Wedding Kim and Mike walked up through Colchester Park to Colchester Castle with their children, meeting some of the Wedding Guests on the way. Inside the Castle other Guests had arrived and Kim and Mike had a little time with them before they had to go and see the Registrars. After this as the Guests were seated for the Ceremony, Kim and Mike made their entrance into The Chapel. After the Ceremony, Kim and Mike had time to talk to their Guests before we all went outside. Some requested family pictures were taken around the Castle.

    Colchester Castle Wedding Photography

Kim and Mike wanted their Colchester Castle wedding photography to include some of the grounds around Castle Park while the Guests walked up to the Colchester Town Hall for the Reception.

    Fun through the High Street

Following taking Kim and Mike’s pictures we walked with them up the High Street to the Town Hall. There were some great reactions from passers by as they made their way there.

    Fun wedding photos

    Colchester Town Hall

A few pictures in the Town Hall were taken as well as a few informal pictures around. Later, after taking a couple of pictures of Kim and Mike with their Wedding Cake we said our goodbyes. A nice relaxed Wedding for Kim and Mike.

Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography Including The Dog!

Katie and Colm chose the lovely Layer Marney Tower for their late Summer Wedding.

First of all we met them at the Marks Tey Hotel where they were both getting ready. Preparations for Katie and Colm were going very well and we just got on with capturing the moments.

Katie and Colm’s requirements for the day were to be relaxed and to make sure their dog, Daisy, played a special part in their big day! After all, she had come from Ireland to be with them! ‘Dog of Honour’. Daisy was involved from the very start!Recommended Wedding Photographer Layer Marney Tower

Wedding Ceremony at Layer Marney Tower

Once Colm was ready, the men went off to Layer Marney with Daisy. Once Katie was ready we only took a couple of shots  and departed for the ceremony.

It was  touch windy but still a beautiful day. Layer Marney Tower looked a picture!

Before Colm and his Groomsmen became too involved with greeting the Guests, we took a few pictures of him, not forgetting some with Daisy.

Katie and Daisy led the way into the Corsellis Room for the Civil Ceremony. Whilst Katie and Colm were exchanging their vows, Daisy just laid on the floor and watched!

Following the Ceremony, Katie and Colm went for a ride in the Layer Marney Rolls Royce.  Graham the Chauffeur dropped them by the gates and they walked up to the Tower to be greeted by their guests. Wedding Photographer Layer Marney TowerThe Drinks Reception was in full swing and we captured the requested family pictures, including Daisy of course!  Katie and Colm had a short wedding portrait session around the grounds of Layer Marney including some nice Barn pictures.      Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography  for Tara & Jordan

Tara and Jordan’s Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography included a visit to St Mary’s Church, Layer Marney.

Our first port of call on the morning of the Wedding was at Tara and Jordan’s house.   Tara, her Mother and Bridesmaids were getting ready. When we arrived hair and and make up was going on so after capturing a few shots of this happening we went upstairs to photograph Tara’s dress, shoes etc.

Once Tara was ready we took a couple of pictures of her before she walked downstairs to where the Bridesmaids were waiting for her. After a few pictures  outside we  left  to go to the church.

    At the Church

Tara and Jordan’s ceremony was to be in the lovely St Mary the Virgin Church in Layer Marney. Jordan and his Groomsmen were carrying out their duties when we arrived so in between we took their pictures.
