High House Wedding Photography – Beth & Jason

High House Wedding Photography at last! When previously asked to photograph Weddings at High House Althorne, we have already been booked for other wedding venues. It was great now to actually photograph at this wonderful venue.

Our day started early at High House at the Bridal Dressing area where Beth was getting ready with her Parents and Bridesmaids. The setting looked lovely and it was good to take a few pictures around before it became filled up with people. Beth’s preparations were going well. Beth opened her present from Jason whilst the finishing touches were being applied to the Bridesmaids.

Beth and Jason were having a Church Wedding so there was not a lot of spare time but enough for a few pictures outside in the gardens. High House Althorne Wedding Photographer

    St Mary’s Church, Woodham Ferrers

David and I then left to go to St Mary’s Church, Woodham Ferrers. The sun was shining brightly when we got to the Church. The Guests walked up the long path to the Church through an avenue of trees making for some nice arrival pictures.Jason was with his Groomsmen and before they greeted too many of the Guests we got on with taking their pictures. The Flowergirls and Pageboy were at the Church as well and had a few pictures taken as well. They were excitedly awaiting the arrival of Beth which made for some nice images. Wedding Photographer EssexIt wasn’t very long before they all went into the Church, Beth had arrived.

At the Church doorway, Beth took her Father’s arm and entered the Church. After the Church service, a little time for meeting and greeting then we got on with taking the requested family pictures. These went very smoothly in next to no time.

    The Confetti

The Guests lined the path and showered Beth and Jason in confetti as they left the Church.Everyone made then made their way to the Reception at High House.Wedding Photographer High House

    Wedding Reception at High House

The Stable Bar Courtyard was where everyone socialised and had where the Drinks Reception was held. When Beth and Jason arrived they joined their Guests for a while to unwind and relax. During this this time we took some informal and small group pictures. Before the Wedding Breakfast Beth and Jason’s together pictures were taken around the grounds. High House Wedding PhotographyThe wind was getting up but there are many areas to get out of the wind this wasn’t a problem. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Marquee and once the Guests were seated Beth and Jason made their entrance and took their seats. After the meal it was time for the Speeches. Following this Beth and Jason’s evening Guests started to arrive.

    The Evening Reception

Beth tossed her bouquet to her group of friends before the cake cutting.  Beth and Jason had their first dance together before the dancing properly began. Fingers were crossed for a few nice evening pictures. So lucky! A brilliant sunset topped it all! Essex Wedding PhotographerHappy with our coverage we then went to say our ‘goodbyes’. It was nice to see Chris and Hannah again and to meet their son, Felix. Chris an Hannah were married at Fennes in 2016. Thank you for recommending us to Beth and Jason.

A lovely day, Beth and Jason, thank you. We are looking forward to our next High House Wedding Photography!

Wedding Photography for Sophia & Glen –

St Mary Magdalene Church & Prested Hall

It was a beautiful day for Sophia and Glen’s Wedding photography. Our day started arriving at Orsett Hall where Sophia and her Family were staying.

Sophia was getting ready with her Bridesmaids when we went to see her. Preparations were well under way and the girls were enjoying every minute. As they carried on with their preparations David and I got on with taking the pictures of Sophia’s Wedding Dress and her lovely range of accessories. Essex Wedding PhotographerOnce the pictures were taken, Sophia then got into her Wedding Dress, assisted by her Bridesmaids. Sophia looked lovely and before we got on with taking some pictures, her Father came into the room to see her. After taking pictures of all of them, as everyone was ready we had time to go out the front of Orsett Hall for some pictures with the cars. We then left to go to St Mary Magdalene Church at Great Burstead.

Arriving at the Church we went to find Glen and his Groomsmen. When they were all together we took a few pictures of them outside the Church before they greeted the Wedding Guests and went into the Church.Essex Church Wedding Photographer The Church looked lovely decorated inside and outside by Jo of Brown’s Blooms and Balloons. Sophia arrived a short time later and after we took a couple of pictures, she then took her Father’s arm and entered the Church. After the Church service the Wedding Guests came out first with their confetti and waited for Sophia and Glen. As they exited the Church they were covered in confetti, some nice pictures. Wedding Photographer EssexA few family group shots were taken in the grounds and of course a few with Sophia and Glen with their dog!

Sophia and Glen wanted a few pictures of the two of them in the Church and we happy to go back inside and take these before we all left the Church. Prested Hall was the setting for Sophia and Glen’s Wedding Reception.

    Prested Hall

Everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception and during this time we took some informal pictures and a few other requested ones as well. We had a little time to go over to the Gazebo with Sophia and Glen for a few pictures of them before returning to the Guests and getting everyone together for a big ‘everybody’ picture.

The Wedding  Breakfast followed and afterwards it was time for the Speeches. Once these were finished Sophia and Glen had a few relaxed pictures taken with their Bridal Party and we took some relaxed evening pictures around Prested Hall of the two of them. Wedding Photographey Prested HallLater Sophia and Glen cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Evening Guests had joined the party so we took some informal pictures of them during the evening. Later as a surprise for their Guests Sophia and Glen provided Sparklers. The weather, which had been lovely all day, decided not to play ball!  Fortunately it was only light rain and Sophia and Glen ended up with some lovely Sparklers pictures.Prested Hall Wedding Photographer After this event we said our ‘goodbyes’. A wonderful day and a lovely couple!

  • Essex Wedding Photography for Lisa & Ross

Essex Wedding Photography for Lisa & Ross

It was a beautiful day for Essex Wedding Photography for Lisa and Ross. Lisa and Ross had a small Wedding with family members and a few close friends for their Church Wedding. St James The Less Church at Little Tey was where we started our coverage from, meeting the friendly Church Wardens. This picturesque Church is a gem and it looked even more beautiful today.

Ross got on with greeting the Guests after we took a couple of pictures of him with his brother Robbie. Leaving them to carry out their duties we waited for Lisa to arrive. The Bridesmaids, Sara and Monica and Lisa’s Mother Maria arrived first, followed by Lisa with her Father. After a few pictures and when the Guests were seated they walked down the path and into the Church. Being such a small Church, a small number of Guests it was just right for an intimate Wedding Service. During the signing of the Registers, Ross’ Brother Robbie sung for the congregation which was wonderful.

With the formalities completed Lisa and Ross exited the Church, spent a few minutes with their Guests before we got on with the requested pictures. These didn’t take very long, then the Guests lined the path to shower Lisa and Ross with confetti as they walked to the cars.

    The Borage Field

Earlier we had spotted the fantastic field of Borage opposite the Church so before leaving we suggested to Lisa and Ross if they wanted some pictures taken in the field. It was worth doing some and we ended up with some lovely pictures. The Guests waved to Lisa and Ross as they left to go to the Barn Brasserie at Great Tey. The Drinks Reception was held in the Courtyard and Lisa and Ross enjoyed socialising with their Guests for a little while. Later we took Lisa and Ross for a short time to walk around The Barn stopping at various places to take some pictures. It was nice to be back for more Prested Hall Wedding Photography. This time for the Wedding of Hayley and Jason. Hayley, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready in the Prested Apartments, situated in the Spa complex. We started our coverage from there as the girls were having their hair and make-up finished.

Hayley’s Dress and accessories were over in the main house so we made sure pictures of these were taken. Preparations were going well and it wasn’t long before the girls were ready to transfer to Prested Hall itself.  Hayley’s timings were good and allowed us time to get the required photographs with her Bridesmaids and parents.Recommended Wedding Photographer Essex

    Carriage Ride to Church

The Horse and Carriage was ready for Hayley as we finished the pictures to take her with her Father to All Saints Church, Feering. David and I left to get to the Church before them and take a few pictures of Jason and his Groomsmen, who were very relaxed and enjoying the moments. We managed to complete taking Jason’s pictures before too many of the Guests arrived, then left Jason, his Best Man and Ushers to continue greeting them.

It was a beautiful day, ideal for arriving at Church in a Horse and Carriage. After taking a couple of pictures, Hayley and her Father walked towards to the Church. The Bridesmaids were first to enter the Church, then Hayley and her Father followed. Wow! The atmosphere, emotions, reactions were fantastic and these continued all the way through the service. Some wonderful moments captured! Essex Church Wedding PhotographerAfter the Church service, everybody came outside and after a few minutes we got on with the requested family pictures.  It was nice for Jason to have a large contingent of his family over from Australia, where he originates from. With the group pictures completed the Guests threw confetti over Hayley and Jason.

Hayley and Jason then enjoyed the ride to Prested Hall for the Reception. The Drinks Reception awaited them and their Guests on their arrival and there was time for everyone to socialise. During the rest of the afternoon we took some fun Bridal Party pictures and a few of Hayley and Jason by themselves.Prested Hall Recommended Wedding Photographers

    The Wedding Breakfast

    The Evening

Hayley and Jason were pleased we asked them to create a few more pictures in the evening light. Moving around Prested Hall we ended up with a variety of nice relaxed and fun evening pictures. The Evening Guests were arriving when we returned so we left Hayley and Jason greeting them.

Later after cutting their Wedding Cake, they took to the dance floor for their First Dance. During the evening we captured a few informal pictures whilst waiting for the sunset. We whisked Hayley and Jason away for a little while by car for the sunset. Not to be missed! It was spectacular! Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography for Lucy and Joe was on a beautiful Spring Day. Our day started at Crowne Plaza Resort Five Lakes.Lucy and Joe were both getting ready. After saying ‘hello’ and a few words with Lucy and the girls, David went off to see Joe. I stayed with the Lucy and the girls and captured the action as it happened as well as taking pictures of the details and accessories. There was a lot going on but all was calm and collected. Joe had a couple of pictures taken before he and his Groomsmen left to go  to St. Peters Church, Great Totham.Recommended Wedding Photographer Layer Marney Whilst this was happening  Lucy and the girls were on the balcony in the room with their glasses of champagne having their picture taken before getting dressed. It was important for  Lucy to see her Father’s reaction when she was dressed and the time as always was going very fast. With the help of her Mum and Bridesmaids this was achieved quickly and we had a little time for a few other pictures before we had to leave. St Peter’s Church, Great Totham was where the marriage was taking place and once we arrived we took some Guest arrival pictures, as well as a few of Joe and his Groomsmen.St Peter's Church Great Totham Wedding PhotographerWaiting at the Church were the Flowergirl Estelle-Rose and Ben,the Pageboy, who were eager to see Lucy arrive at the Church gate.  After getting a glimpse of her they rushed back to the Church Door to surprise her. The Guests climbed aboard the Layer Marney Bus as Lucy and Joe were driven to Layer Marney Tower.  The Drinks Reception was held outside in front of the Tower so the Guests took a drink and when Lucy and Joe arrived at the bottom gate they made their way down there.  Lucy and Joe wanted to walk upto the Tower  with the Guests blowing bubbles over them and this is what happened. Some nice pictures.Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography Lucy and Joe had time to spend with their Guests during the afternoon as well as us taking the requested family group pictures. During the afternoon Alan Nunn, the Magician and Arioso String Quartet provided the entertainment.  Later whilst we took Lucy and Joe for a walk around the grounds of Layer Marney the children plus their Mums and Dads went into the Barn to see the lambs.  If wanted they could give the lambs their milk which some did. When we returned the Guests made their way into the Long Gallery for the Wedding Breakfast.  Lucy and Joe were announced in and they took their seats at the top table ready for the meal to be served. We arrived at Nicola and Philip’s  house on a glorious morning. Nicky and her Bridesmaids were having their make up applied and finished outside on the patio in the garden, it was such a warm day. Prested Hall Wedding Photography

Prested Hall Wedding Photography – It was nice to be asked by Jonathan and Charli to photograph their Wedding at St Nicholas Church, Witham and then Prested Hall, Feering. We have known Jonathan since he was born and it was a pleasure to provide Wedding Photography for them. Prested Hall was where we started on the day of Charli and Jonathan’s Wedding. Charli, her Mother and Bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done before moving to the Dingle.  After capturing a few ‘getting ready’ shots, we then moved to the Dingle where we took a few pictures of Charli’s Wedding Dress and accessories. It was soon time for Charli to move from the Spa to the Dingle to get dressed, assisted by her Mum. With everybody ready we took a few pictures outside before leaving to go to our local Church St Nicholas, Witham, where the Wedding service was taking place. We met Jonathan and as a few guests had started to arrive we promptly took his pictures together with his Best Men and Ushers. Once the Guests had made their way into the Church, Leah the Flowergirl joined Charli and the Bridesmaids who had just arrived and  we had a few extra minutes for a some nice pictures.  Charli then took her Father’s arm and walked up the path and into the Church.
