  • Horsemeat found in wedding photography!

The scandal continues now that authorities have discovered up to 100% Horsemeat in some wedding photography.  The culture of cheap deals has been blamed with large quantities of untested, unregulated snappers looking to make a quick buck and hoping that nobody will find out.

A government spokesman said Horsemeat in wedding photography was only hazardous to the health of the snapper, the lack of a Bride’s happy memory of her big day was only an issue for Civil Courts.

Miss Hacked Offbride, a spokesperson for Disgruntled Brides Association, said she was surprised to find that despite having good cameras some unqualified photographers were delivering 100% horsemeat!

Qualified Professional Photographers who are Members of The British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and Master Photographers Association (MPA) seem less affected by this scandal and are seeing an increase in trade.

Further revelations regarding other wedding trades are expected soon.

  • Family Portraits

It was lovely to see Kerstin and Kevin again as the last time we saw them was when they were married in 2006!  They wanted a few pictures of their daughters, Bella and Abbie, and some family pictures, outside if possible.  Unfortunately, the weather was not kind so we had to stay inside, but we were not disappointed with the results.  family-portrait-photographer-essex

  • Thank you 2012 and Happy New Year

This post is a a big thank you to all our clients from 2012 and our New Year Resolutions for 2013.

Wedding photography will be our main area again during 2013 with an increasing number of family portraits. We will of course continue our endeavours to provide excellence in what we provide and how we provide it!  Thank you to the venues that currently recommend us for what we do and how we do it, as we still believe it is wrong to be recommended solely on a commission basis.

We aim to be further inspired by some of the world’s greatest artists and photographers and not just slavishly copy them. All the wedding pictures in our galleries are and will continue to be from real weddings, not photo-shoots, something that we know a few of our  ‘peers’  may struggle with!

We  aim to work even more closely with our clients to achieve images that are very special for them and also for our portfolio.

A Happy New Year to all our all our friends in the trade and clients old and new.

  • Wedding Photography for Alison & Nathan – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon

It was our first visit to Jepcracks Barn, Great Totham, which is where Alison and her family were getting ready and we were very impressed.  With the converted barn being so light, it made for some nice images.  Everything was running well and being happy with what we had captured we left to go to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.  On arrival, Guests who had arrived, were enjoying the sunshine in the grounds of Crabbs Barn. It was nice to see some familar faces again, seen at previous Weddings.  After taking a few pictures of Nathan and his Best Men, and with Nathan safely inside the Barn, Alison arrived with her Father and Bridesmaids.  Following the Civil Ceremony, everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception, in between some requested family pictures. During the afternoon a few fun Bridal Party pictures were taken and a few Bride and Groom portraits around Crabbs Barn.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn kelvedon
