An interesting job for ‘Interiors by Paul Waldon’. Paul is launching a new range of UK made paints and brushes. We were asked to take a range of pictures for the web site both individual items for the online shop and general promotional product shots.

It was a bright but cold day when we arrived at Fennes to cover Kirstie and Jason’s Wedding Day. Kirstie was getting ready upstairs and Jason was getting ready in the cottage, so there was plenty of action going on to keep us busy! After a few pictures of Jason, his Best Man and Ushers they left to go to the Church. When Kirstie, her Parents and Bridesmaids were ready we took a few pictures before it was time for us to leave for the Church, St Mary’s, Bocking. 
Guests were beginning to arrive by a Wedding Bus and Coach, but we had time to take a few pictures of Jason outside the Church, before he resumed his duties. The path leading up to St Mary’s Church makes for one of our favourite places for Guest arrival pictures which we took and captured some nice images. It wasn’t long before Kirstie arrived. Although it was still bright the temperature wasn’t increasing, so Kirstie, her Dad and the Bridesmaids didn’t waste any time getting from the car to the porch! With the music playing Kirstie walked into the Church for the service to begin. After the service Kirstie and Jason came down the aisle but didn’t go outside the door! As a few pictures family pictures were requested, being extremely cold i,t was decided to do these pictures in the warmth of the Church! Afterwards the Guests lined the path for Kirstie and Jason to walk down, showering them in confetti. Kirstie and Jason returned to Fennes in the Coach with their Guests following them.
After Kirstie and Jason had a short time with their Guests before Kirstie put her boots on for going over to the Bridge for a few of their together pictures. During the afternoon we took pictures inside and outside Fennes as the weather held before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Whilst the Wedding Guests were being seated we made the most of a few moments with Kirstie and Jason in the Gold Room and Red Room resulting in some nice images. 
The Pavilion looked wonderful for the Wedding Breakfast. After the Speeches, their Evening Guests arrived. A couple of night shots and a couple of special group pictures ended our day. 
A beautiful Christmas Wedding, a wonderful couple!
The Christmas Portraits – we sometimes get asked why we don’t have lots of children’s portraits on the blog in the run up to Christmas. Simple really, we would not wish to spoil anybody’s surprise by the recipient paying a chance visit to our website! Here are a few we did in the run up to Christmas:-
It was a beautiful day for Sasha and Neil’s Wedding at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer, Suffolk. Sasha, her Bridesmaids and Parents were getting ready at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury and that’s where we met them early on the Wedding Day. After capturing some getting ready pictures, we took a few formal pictures when they were all dressed.
Sasha looked amazing and we took some lovely bridal images of her. Leaving them we made the journey to Smeetham Hall Barn for the Civil Ceremony. Neil was busy with last minute preparations when we got there but we managed to find some time for his pictures and some with his Groomsmen. Once these were completed Neil greeted a few of the Guests before moving out of sight into the Barn before Sasha arrived. After meeting with the Registrars, Sasha took her Father’s arm and joined the Bridesmaids in the Marquee, before they made their way into the Barn for the Ceremony. Sasha and Neil exchanged their vows with the sun streaming in through the windows. After the Ceremony, Sasha and Neil led the way into the Marquee where they spent a little while talking with their Guests. During the Drinks Reception, the requested family pictures were taken outside as it was dry and bright. The grounds of Smeetham Hall Barn looked lovely bathed in winter sunshine and Sasha and Neil as well as ourselves wanted to make the most of the opportunity.
Later the Speeches took place followed by the Wedding Breakfast.
Whilst the Barn was arranged for the evening Reception and the Band was setting up, it was nice to take some shots of Sasha and Neil by the Christmas Tree. Sasha and Neil’s evening Guests arrived and a short while later it was time for the cake cutting and the First Dance. Smeetham Hall Barn at night looks beautiful and before we left we took a couple of pictures of Sasha and Neil outside. A lovely end to our Wedding photography coverage of a wonderful couple and a fantastic day.
Charlotte and Mark wanted an evening winter Wedding at the poplar Wedding Venue, Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon. Before going to Crabbs Barn we called in briefly to see all the girls who were getting ready at the Riverhall Hotel. After taking a couple pictures of Charlotte’s Dress, some accessories and a few getting ready pictures we left them to finish their preparations. Arrriving at Crabbs Barn we met Mark his Parents and Best Man. The wedding guests started to arrive soon after we had finished the Men’s photos. When the Bridesmaids and Charlotte and Mark’s daughter arrived there was time for some pictures of them before the arrival of Charlotte.
Charlotte, looked lovely as entered the Barn escorted by her Grandparents for the Civil Ceremony. Following the Ceremony everybody went over to the Garden Room for the Drinks Reception. After Charlotte and Mark spent a little time wth their Guests, we got on with the family group photos. For a few together pictures of Charlotte and Mark we went back into the Barn.
Later whilst some informal Speeches were taking place in the Garden Room we were able to capture some images of the Guests before everybody returned to the Barn to eat. The cutting of the Wedding Cake preceded the First Dance and after taking a nightime picture we left them. It was nice to see Irene of Blushing Brides and we can now add her Grandaughter’s Wedding as well as covering both her Daughter’s Weddings!
What a great and extremely busy weekend! It was nice to meet potentially new Brides and Grooms who visited our Stand at the Brentwood Centre on Saturday and Sunday. Sorry that we were not there on Saturday, but we did have a Wedding!

The show is the biggest in Essex and has a wide range of exhibitors covering everything you need for the big day.
There is a fantastic professional fashion show – not to be confused with some bored looking amateur models in ill fitting dresses as seen at some other wedding fairs! This is the real thing!

Emma and Richard’s Winter Wedding was held at Prested Hall, Feering. Emma and Rick wanted a small relaxed Wedding with their family and close friends and Prested Hall fitted the bill. We started by going to see Emma upstairs where she was with her Mother. Our first job of the day was to photograph the details and accessories. Emma had allowed sufficient time for these to be taken as well as getting ready, no rushing! During this time David went off to find Rick, his Best Man and Ushers. Although cold outside it was dry so off they all went for their pictures. Emma was looking radiant once she was ready we took a few portraits of her before her Brother arrived to give her away. The Civil Ceremony was to take place in the Oak Room followed by the Reception. Before everybody got too comfortable inside we took them all briefly outside for the requested family pictures.
Leaving their Guests enjoying the Drinks Reception and being entertained by the Quartet, we took Emma and Rick for a little while around the grounds of Prested Hall for their ‘together’ photos. Upon their return there was plenty of time for them to socialise with their guests and we captured some nice informal moments. These were enhanced by the decorations, christmas colours and ambience of the day. 
The Orangery looked wonderful for their Wedding Breakfast, which was followed by the Speeches. Rick’s expressions during this the speeches had us all laughing! Once the evening Guests had arrived everybody was treated to a Fireworks display before Emma and Rick took to the Dancefloor for their First Dance. 
A little while later we left them all to continue their celebrations. This was another wedding that suited our discreet and relaxed style very well and why we enjoy Wedding Photography Prested Hall, especially with such a lovely couple.
