Gazette Wedding Fayre – Colchester Football Stadium – Sunday 17 March – 11am-3pm
We are looking forward to exhibiting our Wedding Photography at Colchester Football Stadium this Sunday from 11am-3pm. For viewing we will have a selection of Wedding albums of complete Weddings at various Wedding Venues. There will be a variety of Suppliers for your Wedding Day so why not come along and meet with us all.

Fennes Wedding Photography for Elena & James
Fennes Wedding Photography – What a wonderful day for a beautiful Wedding at the glorious Fennes! We were so looking forward to Elena & James’ Summer Wedding at Fennes.
On arrival we made our way upstairs to where Elena and the girls were getting ready. James and his Groomsmen were getting ready in the house as well so after saying ‘hello’ to the girls, David went off to find James.
Preparations were going well in both camps. Once James and his Groomsmen were ready their pictures were taken around the grounds of Fennes. After that they socialised with the Guests spending the time outside enjoying the lovely weather.
Elena was soon ready but before we took some pictures Elena’s Father came into the room to see her. A few family and Bridal pictures were taken before Elena went down the stairs to see the Registrar.Elena and James chose to have their Wedding Ceremony outdoors. Being so hot the Guests waited until the last moment for taking their seats on the lawn. They didn’t have long to wait,
The ceremony
Elena accompanied by her Father came out of the house and walked over to the Gazebo. After the Ceremony, as everyone took the Reception Drinks we took the ‘everybody’ picture and a couple of requested pictures.
That was enough in the sun, time to move to the the shade of the trees for the rest of the pictures. It was a very relaxed afternoon and this allowed pictures not be rushed and gave time to Elena and James to talk to their Guests.Elena and James wanted some fun shots so later on we did those and took them for a quick walk around the grounds for their pictures, finishing inside for a couple as well.
The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and once the Guests were seated Elena and James made their entrance. After the meal it was time for the Speeches.There is usually time between the end of the meal and the start of the evening celebrations for extra pictures with the Bride and Groom and Elena and James wanted to do some more and some fun pictures! Aware that their Evening Guests were starting to arrive we made sure we returned so they could greet them.
The Dancing !!
When Elena and James cut their Wedding Cake a bit later on they then had their First Dance. The Guests then joined them on the dance floor. .A little while later a surprise for everyone! Moldovan dancers took to the dance floor and performed a variety of dances.
Everyone clapped as they performed their dances. Wonderful! Now it was the Bride and Groom’s turn to join in followed by Guests if they wanted to. The dance floor was packed! Superb! Great pictures!David and I after taking some informal pictures during the evening and stepping out with Elena and James for the sunset, made ourselves scarce for a bit. We knew what was coming next!
When the time was right, the DJ asked the Guests to go outside. Awaiting them there were Sparklers! With lots of Sparklers lit, the Guests made two lines so Elena and James could walk down the middle. Great pictures.! What a way to finish our coverage of Elena and James’ Wedding! A lovely couple and a fantastic day was had! -

It was a lovely Sunday morning last summer when we met Rachel and Alex again for a Country Engagement Shoot.
Our meeting was at the popular setting of Paper Mill Lock, Little Baddow. Our first port of call was the Tearooms before it got too crowded. Over our teas and coffees we went over the details of their forthcoming Wedding at Newland Hall, Chelmsford.
A little later we went for a walk, chatting as we went and stopping time to time to take some pictures of Rachel and Alex.
It was a pleasant way to get to know Rachel and Alex better and ending up with some great Country Engagement Shoot pictures.

High House Wedding Photography – Beth & Jason
High House Wedding Photography at last! When previously asked to photograph Weddings at High House Althorne, we have already been booked for other wedding venues. It was great now to actually photograph at this wonderful venue.
Our day started early at High House at the Bridal Dressing area where Beth was getting ready with her Parents and Bridesmaids. The setting looked lovely and it was good to take a few pictures around before it became filled up with people. Beth’s preparations were going well. Beth opened her present from Jason whilst the finishing touches were being applied to the Bridesmaids.
Beth and Jason were having a Church Wedding so there was not a lot of spare time but enough for a few pictures outside in the gardens.
St Mary’s Church, Woodham Ferrers
David and I then left to go to St Mary’s Church, Woodham Ferrers. The sun was shining brightly when we got to the Church. The Guests walked up the long path to the Church through an avenue of trees making for some nice arrival pictures.Jason was with his Groomsmen and before they greeted too many of the Guests we got on with taking their pictures. The Flowergirls and Pageboy were at the Church as well and had a few pictures taken as well. They were excitedly awaiting the arrival of Beth which made for some nice images.
It wasn’t very long before they all went into the Church, Beth had arrived.At the Church doorway, Beth took her Father’s arm and entered the Church. After the Church service, a little time for meeting and greeting then we got on with taking the requested family pictures. These went very smoothly in next to no time.
The Confetti
The Guests lined the path and showered Beth and Jason in confetti as they left the Church.Everyone made then made their way to the Reception at High House.
Wedding Reception at High House
The Stable Bar Courtyard was where everyone socialised and had where the Drinks Reception was held. When Beth and Jason arrived they joined their Guests for a while to unwind and relax. During this this time we took some informal and small group pictures. Before the Wedding Breakfast Beth and Jason’s together pictures were taken around the grounds.
The wind was getting up but there are many areas to get out of the wind this wasn’t a problem. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Marquee and once the Guests were seated Beth and Jason made their entrance and took their seats. After the meal it was time for the Speeches. Following this Beth and Jason’s evening Guests started to arrive.The Evening Reception
Beth tossed her bouquet to her group of friends before the cake cutting. Beth and Jason had their first dance together before the dancing properly began. Fingers were crossed for a few nice evening pictures. So lucky! A brilliant sunset topped it all!
Happy with our coverage we then went to say our ‘goodbyes’. It was nice to see Chris and Hannah again and to meet their son, Felix. Chris an Hannah were married at Fennes in 2016. Thank you for recommending us to Beth and Jason.A lovely day, Beth and Jason, thank you. We are looking forward to our next High House Wedding Photography!

Justine and Glen came to see us again before their Wedding in the Autumn last year for their Pre-Wedding pictures.
After filling in the remaining details about their Wedding Day over a coffee off we went to take some pictures.
Our local River Walk provides opportunities for pictures and that’s why we use this area. Justine and Glen chose the wonderful Fennes for their Wedding Day.

Newborn Baby Photography -Deborah and Nick contacted us last year after the birth of their daughter Jessica.
A few pictures of Jessica and the rest of the family was requested. This family are not new to us. We photographed their son, Edward, in 2016 and before that their wedding at Crabbs Barn.
We went to their home for the pictures, spent an enjoyable time with them all, ending up with some lovely pictures.
They were more than happy with the results and we have in the last few weeks seen them again, this time with their extended family for some family pictures.

Sarah and Bob had an Essex Barn wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.
It was beautiful weather at a wonderful Venue. As we arrived we were joined by some of the Wedding Guests. Meeting and greeting happened so we captured these moments. Some Guests had arrived early and made the most of the setting enjoying the weather.
After Bob had spoken to some of the Guests we took him, together with his Ushers and Best Man for a few pictures.
It was soon time for them all to go into the Barn and take their seats for the Ceremony. Sarah travelled to the venue with her two sons and Bridesmaids. Matthew and Adam,Jayne and Sophie had done a good job in calming the nerves that Sarah felt! After a few pictures and seeing the Registrars, Sarah escorted by Matthew and Adam entered the Barn.
It’s Now or Never!
Sarah’s nerves were on hold but as Sarah walked up the aisle they made an appearance! As Sarah arrived at the front the nervous tears went, these were replaced with laughter and tears of joy! Bob had arranged to change the music to ‘It’s now or never” as Sarah arrived. Everyone fell about laughing, this was very apt as Sarah and Bob have been together for 30 years and only now decided to get married! Wonderful moments, lovely pictures.
Once the formalities were over Sarah and Bob went out of the Barn and went off for a short ride in the car. Their Guests enjoyed Drinks and Canapies during this time. When Sarah and Bob returned they had a little time to socialise before we got on with taking some requested pictures. A few fun/informal pictures followed. 
Later following the confetti pictures it was time for the Wedding Breakfast.The Speeches
The Speeches took place after the meal, some great reactions.
Evening Guests arrived to join in the celebrations. During the evening we went for a short walk with Sarah and Bob around Crabbs Barn finishing in the field for a sunset. Cutting of the Wedding Cake was then followed by the their First Dance and dancing. 
Sarah and Bob wanted a beautiful relaxed, jovial Wedding which is certainly what they had. Thank you Sarah and Bob for asking us to photograph your Wedding, we really enjoyed it! -

It was great to meet up with Charlotte and Paul asked us to do some Outdoor Dog Photography. Charlotte and Paul were married at St Peter’s Church, Great Totham, in 2016. Charlotte and Paul asked us to photograph them with their dog, Indie. We were more than happy to do so.
We met them at Tiptree Heath. Just catching up with our couples is always nice and to do something different for them is equally as nice. Indie is a lively dog but during the time we were there we managed to get some lovely photos of him together with Charlotte and Paul. Good results and a lovely morning spent with a wonderful couple.

Some are older animals which provides the owner with a lasting memory for when the sad but inevitable day arrives.
We love our pets so much, a beautiful canvas or framed print can stay with you forever. Most pets are photographed at or near their owner’s home.
