  • Fennes Wedding Photographers for Lisa & Nathan

We were the Fennes Wedding Photographers for Lisa and Nathan’s Wedding.

    Bridal Preparations

Arriving at Fennes we made our way upstairs to see Lisa. Lots of preparations were taking place so it was full on. We took pictures of Lisa’s Wedding Dress and Accessories in the John Dorwood Suite, as there was more room to move around and it was cooler to work in. It was easy to go between the rooms as and when it was necessary.

    The Men

Nathan was getting ready at Fennes so David went off to find him and the Groomsmen. Once they were ready they had some pictures taken outside in the grounds.

Once the finishing touches were applied for the make-up and hair the Bridesmaids got changed into their Bridesmaid Dresses. Lisa went to put on her Wedding Dress, assisted by her Mother. Lisa wanted to surprise her Bridesmaids with the ‘big reveal’. We took a few Bridal Portraits of Lisa before we moved back to the Bridal Changing Room. Some nice ‘moment’ pictures when this happened. After taking a few pictures of them it was time to go! Lisa’s Father was waiting at the bottom of the stairs and as usual this made a lovely picture.

    Outdoor Ceremony

Once it was time, the Bridesmaids led the way across the grass to the Gazebo. It was a beautiful day, the Gazebo looked lovely, decorated with many flowers and as they all walked out it was a wonderful picture. After the Ceremony, everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception.

    Family Pictures

    Fennes Wedding Photographers

Lisa and Nathan wanted some family pictures which we did after they had time to socialise with their Guests. Fennes bridge, of course, was used for some of their pictures later on, finishing with a few minutes around the grounds. A greeting line was held before Lisa and Nathan entered the Pavilion for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches followed and then Lisa and Nathan cut their Wedding Cake.

    Evening Fun

It was such a lovely evening, the outside was popular with many Guests. Lisa and Nathan wanted a few more ‘fun’ pictures and it was the right time to do these. Sunset beckoned a little later. Lisa and Nathan had time to mingle with their Guests after this before their First Dance. It was not long after this we said our ‘goodbyes’. The end to another day being Fennes Wedding Photographers.

  • Family Portraits

We were delighted to be asked again by Joan and Dave to update their Family portraits. Over the years the family has extended and from time to time we have taken pictures for them. We have known this wonderful family from when we took Sam and Mike’s Wedding pictures at Crabbs Barn in 2012. Deciding the best place to get everyone together this time was at Mum and Dad’s house. One afternoon in the summer last year we arranged to go to them.

    Family portraits

Garden pictures were what they wanted and the easiest to do and fortunately the weather was spot on. Dry and warm! Various family pictures as well as a few informal pictures were taken. So nice to meet Max for the first time, Sam and Mike’s son and to see again Rosie, their daughter. Catching up with Stacey and Chris again was nice as well, meeting again and seeing Chase for the first time.

In all a very enjoyable afternoon was had by all and some nice relaxed family portraits.

  • Houchins Wedding Photography for Grace & Tom

Grace and Tom could not have wished for a more beautiful day for their Houchins Wedding. When we arrived at Houchins we went to find Grace who was getting ready in the house with her Parents, Bridesmaids and Flowergirls. We just followed the sounds of fun and laughter! They were all relaxed and preparations were well underway. The Flowergirls were very excited and couldn’t wait to put their dresses on. Before that happened we got on with taking a few pictures of Grace’s Wedding Dress and Accessories. Tom, his Groomsmen and Parents were getting ready and once they were ready they had a few pictures taken.

Leaving them to get on with their jobs David returned to the girls. The Flowergirls were dressed and it was all go with everybody else getting dressed. We took a couple of pictures upstairs of them all but left the bigger group picture until we went downstairs. We had time to take some Bridal pictures of Grace, she looked lovely! After Grace saw the Registrar we had a few moments to take the Group picture in the room downstairs.

    Houchins Wedding Ceremony

The Guests had taken their seats in the Marquee for the outdoor Houchins Wedding Ceremony. The Flowergirls led the way from the house towards the Marquee with Grace and her Father following them. A lovely sight as they made their way to the front of the Marquee. Emotions were high, especially for Tom, seeing Grace, coming towards him. When it came to the vows, it was Grace’s turn! This set us all off! Formalities completed, Grace and Tom followed the path out from the Marquee and through the gate.

    Confetti & Drinks

The Guests mingled for a few minutes before lining the pathway ready to shower Grace and Tom as they returned. This was followed by the Drinks Reception in the grounds. During the afternoon we took a few requested family pictures. Later we took some formal and informal Bridal Party pictures. The informal pictures were different for an unexpected reason! The Bridal Party were having fun as would be usual but as they were walking, Grace fell over! Well, what a shock! This resulted in concern, help and laughter! Some lovely capture the moment pictures! At least it was on the grass and Grace was not in heels! Grace was fine and relaxed about the whole thing. Giving Grace and Tom time to recover and enjoy more of the Drinks Reception happened next.

Before the Wedding Breakfast we did take Grace and Tom for a few together pictures around the grounds.

    Speeches & Wedding Breakfast

Grace and Tom chose to have their Speeches before the meal so once everyone was seated in the Barn, they began. Afte the meal, everyone went outside and enjoyed the early evening sunshine. Grace tossed her bouquet to the group who were waiting. We also made use of the early evening sunshine taking Grace and Tom for a few minutes around Houchins. The sunset was brilliant!

    Houchins Wedding

A great picture to end the time for Grace and Tom’s pictures. On our return evening Guests had arrived and before long it was time for the cutting of the cake and Grace and Tom’s First Dance. Afterwards we took a few informal pictures around to capture the evening celebrations. Sparklers pictures and some fun relaxed pictures to end Grace and Tom’s Wedding Day completed our coverage.

It was nice to see and catch up with Tori and Greg again, we were their Wedding Photographers at Prested Hall in 2017. Thank you also you two for this recommendation. Congratulations, Grace and Tom, you are a lovely couple, we thoroughly enjoyed your Houchins Wedding Day.

  • Silk Flowers Photography for Jades Flower Design

Beverley of Jades Flower Design got in touch with us last year asking us if we could do some Silk Flowers Photography of her arrangements. Of course, we were happy to do so.

We have known Beverley for a number of years, being in the Wedding Industry. Beverley wanted a number of pictures of her silk flower creations, which are absolutely wonderful. We work with Jades a lot and their flower arrangements are first class.

  • Trinity Hall Cambridge Wedding Photographer for Bronwen & Oliver

Trinity Hall Cambridge Wedding Photographer for Bronwen & Oliver. Trinity Hall is a wonderful venue if you are fortunate enough to have studied and able to have your Wedding there.

It was a glorious day for their Summer Wedding and Trinity Hall and the grounds looked splendid. When we arrived Bronwen, her Parents and Bridesmaids had not arrived. This allowed us to have a good look around in the gardens and capture the images of this setting. They all arrived and made their way to a room in a nearby building where they could finish their preparations. Leaving them to get settled, there was plenty to go and see.

    The Groomsmen

It was not long before we met up with Oliver and his Groomsmen. In fact we spotted them relaxing, playing croquet! Guests had not started arrive only family members so they continued playing their game. Afterwards we took some pictures of Oliver, his Parents and Groomsmen. Timing was just right. We left them and went up to see the girls as the Guests started to arrive.

The girls were doing fine, preparations were going well, they were enjoying themselves. Once everyone was ready, Bronwen’s Mother and Father joined us for some pictures. With Bronwen’s Bridal portraits completed, Bronwen looked amazing, and once the Guests had made their way to the Chapel for the Ceremony we went outside. It was a short walk to the Chapel for the Ceremony and when it was time Bronwen took her Father’s arm and walked into the Chapel. A beautiful setting with the sun streaming in.

The String Quartet were playing and within a short time Guests joined them. Everyone mingled whilst the Drinks Reception took place and we took some nice informal pictures. During the afternoon we took some requested family pictures and the Bridal Party pictures. Later we took Bronwen and Oliver for a stroll around the gardens, wonderful opportunities for some nice pictures.

This worked well as when we had finished the Guests had made their way upto the Medieval Hall for the Wedding Breakfast. Before the meal everyone congregated on the grass outside for an ‘everybody’ shot. Following this they walked into the Hall for the Wedding Breakfast. Whilst this was happening we took advantage to take of a few more pictures of Bronwen and Oliver. Our coverage of Bronwen and Oliver’s Wedding Day ended as they sat down for the meal. Bronwen and Oliver wanted a relaxed feel to their Wedding Day and they definitely had that! Congratulations Bronwen and Oliver on your Wedding! A wonderful day to be a Trinity Hall Cambridge Wedding Photographer.

  • Surprise Engagement Pictures at Prested Hall Feering

It was nice to receive a call from Hardeep last summer asking to take some surprise Engagement pictures! Hardeep was planning to ‘pop the question’ to his girlfriend, one summer’s evening at Prested Hall. We were available and arrangements were made. Fingers were crossed on the August evening that Hardeep and Navina were not held up in the traffic coming to Prested Hall. All was ok. Hardeep and Navina had dinner served to them, whilst we kept out the way! The staff at Prested Hall had arranged tea lights to arranged in the shape of a heart under the Gazebo. You could not see them from the house. As it got dark these were lit. We just had to wait now!

    Surprise Engagement Pictures

Before long Hardeep and Navina came out of Prested Hall and walked towards the Gazebo! Using the bushes as a cover we waited until Hardeep popped the question and Navina said ‘yes’ before we came clean! Having captured the moment and the reactions we congratulated them and had a quick chat. We then took a few pictures of Hardeep and Narvina once everything was calmer! What a lovely idea this was and we were pleased we were there.

  • Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography for Sarah & Ben

    Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography

In the summer last year we provided Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography for Sarah and Ben. It was a lovely warm day when we arrived at Wivenhoe House. We went up to see Sarah, who was getting ready with her daughter, Mia, and her Bridesmaids. All the girls were relaxed and enjoying the time they had in the beautiful room they were getting ready in, before it was time to get dressed. Finishing touches were being applied whilst we got on with taking a few pictures of Sarah’s Wedding Dress and Accessories.

It was nice seeing Sam being Sarah’s Matron of Honour. A few years ago, Sarah was Bridesmaid at Sam’s Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, in 2015. David went off to find Ben who was with his son, Jacob and his Best Man, Liam. Their pictures were taken outside in the grounds. Guests were starting to arrive and enjoyed socialising in the sunshine. Meanwhile Sarah and the girls were getting dressed and Mum and Dad joined us once everyone was ready. We got on with taking some pictures, then it was time for to go outside for the Ceremony.

    Outdoor Ceremony

As we got downstairs, the clouds had gathered and suddenly spots of rain appeared! Thankfully as Sarah taking her Father’s Arm walked towards the Gazebo, by the time she reached it no spots! The sun reappeared and all was well! Phew! The Gazebo looked wonderful and the colour scheme chosen by Sarah and Ben looked lovely.

    Drinks and Pictures

After the Ceremony the Drinks Reception took place. When we took the requested family pictures, it was so nice to have the space to do these not far from everyone. Garden games kept everyone entertained, especially the children, during the afternoon. We took Sarah and Ben for a short walk to the lake for their pictures later.

    wedding couple in wivenhoe house

On our return the Guests threw confetti over Sarah and Ben before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Sarah and Ben chose to have a BBQ and this went down very well with everyone. The Speeches were after the meal. The evening light was wonderful so after the Speeches we took Sarah and Ben for a few minutes around Wivenhoe House for a few pictures. Sarah and Ben cut their Wedding Cake a little later followed by their First Dance. We captured a flavour of the evening with some informal pictures before Sarah and Ben’s sunset pictures. Thank you Sarah and Ben for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers. It was a wonderful day of Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography! Nice to catch up with Craig as well as Sam at the Wedding.

  • Stock Street Farm Barn Wedding Photography for Kerri-Anne & Wayne

Stock Street Farm Barn Wedding Photography for Kerri-Anne and Wayn. Their Wedding Day started at St Albrights Church, Stanway. We started our coverage of their Wedding at the Church meeting Wayne and his Best Man there. They were busy greeting Guests as they arrived so we captured a few of these pictures.

Finding a gap we took a couple of pictures of Wayne. The weather was holding up, it was a windy bright day, we were just hoping the storm clouds would not come our way! It was soon time for Wayne and the Wedding Guests to go into the Church as Kerri-Anne arrived. Her Father’s American Pick Up Truck was the mode of transport for her arrival. There was a little time to take a few pictures of Kerri-Anne and her Bridesmaids before they entered the Church.

After the Church Service, Kerri-Anne and Wayne exited the Church followed by the Guests. They showered them with confetti on the pathway before we got on with taking a few requested family pictures. After Kerri-Anne and Wayne talked for a short time with their Guests we all made our way to Stock Street Barn.

    Stock Street Farm Barn Reception

Once there everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception. There were garden games for everyone to play and these kept them all entertained. Some nice informal pictures were taken during the afternoon in the sunshine. Whilst this was going on we managed to take Kerri-Anne and Wayne for a short walk around to take a few pictures of them.

    Stock Street Farm Barn wedding

A BBQ was held for everyone in the Barn shortly after. After the meal, it was time for a couple of Speeches. Once these were completed, the dancing started, around the tables, making for some nice pictures.

    Fun and Games!

    Stock Street Farm Barn fun

Afterwards, before the evening celebrations started, Michael, the Owner of Stock Street Farm Barn invited those into the field, who wanted to have some extra fun. Children and Adults participating in Sack races, very funny! When they changed to the Space Hoppers, that was even funnier! Trying to take pictures with a camera in our hands in between our bouts of laughter was hard! With these finished Kerri-Anne and Wayne went back into the Barn and cut their Wedding Cake before their First Dance. The Rock and Roll Band was set up and the evening was in full swing. Our last picture of Kerri-Anne and Wayne’s Wedding Day was as the sun was setting.

  • Hairstyling Photography for Yaxley

Phillippa, the Owner of Yaxley Hair and Beauty in Witham got in touch with for some Hairstyling Photography. Phillippa and her team were looking forward to continuing their way through the British Hairdressing Awards 2019 and wanted some pictures. We have done something similar in the past, so we were definitely up for it.

    Portable Studio

Our equipment is portable so we were quite happy to set up our studio in the upstairs of the Salon. As the girls completed their different hairstyles, they came upstairs and we took a variety of pictures. The hairstyles were fantastic and Phillippa ended up with some great images.

We are pleased to say Phillippa and Hope got through to the finals with a little help from our Hairstyling Photography.
