Barn Brasserie Wedding Photography for Susannah & Keane

Before the Wedding of Susannah and Keane at The Barn Brasserie, Great Tey, we visited The Crowne Plaza, Colchester.  Susannah was getting ready there, everybody was relaxed and preparations were going well. Capturing a flavour of the day’s happenings was our aim.Essex Wedding Photographer Emily, Susannah’s daughter and the Flowergirls, Ruby and Susie were soon ready and we were able to take a few pictures of them in the adjoining room. Susannah was ready shortly after and following a couple of photos we left them to make our way to The Barn at Great Tey. We met with Keane and his Brother, Damien and took their pictures outside before the Guests arrived. This Autumn day went very well with the colours Susannah and Keane chose for their Wedding. Whilst waiting for Susannah to arrived we took a few Guest arrival pictures. The rain started just as Susannah arrived so under the shelter of umbrellas she was quickly ushered into the room to see the Registrars.  We had a few minutes afterwards to get a couple of Bridal portraits. The Civil Ceremony took place in the Barn and once everybody was seated, Susannah made her way in escorted by Emily. Following the Ceremony, Susannah and Keane greeted their Guests and enjoyed the Drinks Reception and Canapés. Barn Brasserie Wedding Photography As the weather was not playing ball we had to take the requested family group pictures inside.  Fortunately, these Group pictures were not too big so we found space in the bar to do these. Later Susannah and Keane were quite happy to go outside for a few pictures of them. It was a warm day and the rain was on and off, we decided to chance it! It worked well, happy with a few pictures we returned to the Guests. An ‘everybody’ picture was wanted which we managed to do inside with the aid of our lighting kit. Wedding Photographer The Barn BrasserieSoon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The meal was superb! Coverage of the Speeches followed the meal. Susannah and Keane’s Evening Guests then arrived. As the rain had stopped Susannah and Keane had a couple of evening pictures taken outside including them being covered with rose petals.Essex Wedding Photographer After cutting their Wedding Cake, Susannah and Keane had their First Dance. A little later we left them to continue the evening celebrations. A great couple and a lovely day!

We met Christina and Paul one afternoon in Highwoods Country Park, Colchester. This was for their pre-wedding photo session but also including their sons. When children are involved it is always good to meet them ahead of the big day as well as the happy couple!  Highwoods Country Park is good for any type of outdoor pictures with places to walk, sit and lean.  We walked and talked about the wedding for a little while before taking a few pictures. Christina and Paul’s Wedding is at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer.

Jodie and Oliver chose the superb Fennes as the Wedding Venue to host their Civil Ceremony and Reception in the Autumn last year. The Bridal Room at Fennes was busy with final preparations taking place when we got there. Jodie’s Wedding Dress and shoes etc, were moved moved to the Fennes Suite for us to photograph them. Oliver and his Groomsmen were ready for their pictures.  The weather was good, dry and bright, so there were several places for their pictures outside away from the girls. Once these were taken David who then rejoined the girls.  Once Jodie was dressed, her Father came upstairs to see her before we got on with taking a few pictures. After these pictures, it was time for everyone to make their way downstairs.  Recommended Wedding Photographer FennesThe Pavilion looked lovely, the set up for Jodie and Oliver’s Wedding was the other way today. Outdoor family photos

In the Autumn last year we photographed Chloe, Simon and Jayden. They had purchased a gift voucher from us and now wanted some outdoor family photos. Chloe and Simon wanted some pictures of  Jayden on his own as it was his Birthday.  We located a suitable wooded area not far from where they live in Braintree so we went there to take the pictures. What a good choice!  It was early morning, no-one around, a dry day and leaves galore!  A lovely family and some nice pictures.

Some of the other work we get involved in is PR photography, mostly local, occasionally other areas in South-East England. This was a job for a Construction Company who are promoting to enlist Apprentices. Joel has been through the system and was selected to be the role model. The site was the old Warley Hospital which has now been redeveloped into high quality apartments and houses. The brief was to incorporate the subject with the beautiful buildings both in his PPE site clothing and business suit. PR Photography Essex

Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel

We were looking forward to being Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel in the Autumn last year. Having known Hannah for a long time it was a pleasure to be part of Hannah and Daniel’s special day. Our day started at Hannah’s Parents’ house, where Hannah was getting ready with the Bridesmaids. Whilst preparations were going on we took a few pictures of the accessories (loved Hannah’s shoes!) and details.

Essex Wedding PhotographerEllie, Ruby and Kitty, the younger Bridesmaids and Pip, the Pageboy, were the first to be ready and looked wonderful in the colour scheme Hannah and Daniel had chosen. We took a few pictures of them as Hannah was getting dressed. Wow! Hannah looked amazing in her Wedding Dress! Just enough time for a few pictures of Hannah with her Parents, Gil and Michael and Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboy, before we left. Marks Hall,Coggeshall.  It was lovely to be back there again after not being there for a while. It was a dry, bright day and fingers crossed it would remain so. Dan was there with his Groomsmen and we had a little time to take a few pictures. Wedding Photographer Marks HallThe sun broke through for the pictures. The men then greeted  the Guests giving us the opportunity to take a few informal pictures. Hannah and the girls arrived soon after and made their way inside.  Hannah and Dan hoped for suitable weather for an outside Ceremony and luckily got this!  Guests took their seats. Hannah took her Father’s arm and they made their way outside for the Ceremony. Wedding Photographer Marks Hall After the Ceremony, Hannah and Dan had time to enjoy the Drinks Reception outside with their Guests. After a short while we got on with the requested family pictures. With these finished everyone continued socialising. Later we took Hannah and Dan for a short time down to the Lake for a few together pictures before the Bridal Party joined us. Fun pictures at the Lake! During the afternoon other pictures were taken finishing with the confetti pictures.  Hannah and Dan chose to have the Speeches before the meal so they could really relax and enjoy the food. Once this was finished Hannah and Dan cut their Wedding Cake and the band set up for the evening entertainment.  This gave time for Guests to enjoy a stroll around the grounds and gave us an opportunity for a few extra minutes with Hannah and Dan. The sunset beckoned! We could not have asked for a better evening! The  Guests made their way to the dance floor ready for Hannah and Dan’s First Dance.   After a few songs, Dan then surprised Hannah by singing with the Band as well. Later during the evening the sparklers were lit and these made for some great pictures.Marks Hall Wedding Photographer That was the end of our coverage of Hannah and Dan’s Wedding although we stayed until late! A superb  day! A wonderful couple!  Congratulations Hannah and Dan on your Wedding Day!

The venue was previously a restaurant and has an excellent large kitchen, lounge, dining and dancing areas! The gardens have country views which will be ideal for our style of photography.  It looks fantastic for our signature sunset wedding shots! The Compasses Pattiswick is run by a highly experienced wedding event organiser Paul Gooding, who we have worked with many times previously. We look forward to our first commission at this venue.

Layer Marney Wedding Photographer for Dana & Jim

Layer Marney was the chosen Wedding Venue for Dana and Jim’s Wedding last year. Dana was getting ready at Crowne Plaza, Colchester and that’s where we started our day.  Lots of preparations were going on in the rooms where they were getting ready but everybody was enjoying themselves and everything was going smoothly. We took some pictures of the girls as they were getting ready. Finishing touches applied Dana and the rest of the girls got ready, Dana being helped by her Mother. Time was on our side so we had time to take a few pictures of them all once they were ready. These completed we then travelled to Layer Marney Tower. Layer Marney Wedding Photographer Jim was there with his Groomsmen so before too many of the Guests arrived we took a few pictures of them in front of the Tower. As the Guests arrived on the Layer Marney Bus  we had time to take a few arrival shots. Jim, his Groomsmen and the Guests made their way upto the Corsellis Room to take their seats for the Civil Ceremony.  Meanwhile Dana arrived in the Layer Marney Rolls Royce and after a couple of pictures met with the Registrars. The Civil Ceremony followed and once this finished Dana and Jim were given Champagne and taken for a ride in the car. It was a lovely day so the Drinks Reception was held outside and Guests enjoyed this in the grounds of Layer Marney. Arriving at the gates we took a few pictures of Dana and Jim before they walked up the path to the Tower. Their Guests walked towards the steps to see  and greet them as they reached the top. Dana and Jim spent a little while socialising with their Guests before we took the requested group pictures. These went well and gave the opportunity to Dana and Jim to mingle a bit more. During the afternoon we took a mixture of fun Bridal Party pictures and informal pictures. Layer Marney Wedding PhotographerMolly and Evie, the younger Bridesmaids had fun around the grounds and we were on hand to capture the pictures. For Dana and Jim’s together pictures we went to the Lake and Barn. We ended up with a great selection of pictures, well done Dana and Jim! Wedding Photographer Layer Marney TowerJust before the Wedding Breakfast Dana and Jim were covered with confetti and they then proceeded into the Long Gallery for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches were before the meal and there was a tear in everybody’s eyes when Molly’s Speech was read. Molly had written some beautiful words but didn’t want to read them out loud to a room full of people, so the Best Man did the honours. Well done Molly! The meal was served and afterwards there was a little time for everyone to relax outside as the Band set up for the evening celebrations. A sunset was on the cards and Dana and Jim wanted to do a few other pictures as well. Dana and Jim cut their Wedding Cake before their First Dance.Layer Marney Recommended Wedding Photographer After the Tower night shot we left Dana and Jim to continue dancing to the superb Band Three Mile Hill. Thank you Dana and Jim for the ‘extra’ you put into your pictures on your Wedding Day.
