  • Portrait in the woods

Great to meet Janna & Stephen for their pre-wedding picture. They brought along their sons Thomas & Jack so we could meet them also ahead of their wedding  which will be at Down Hall in afew weeks time.

The picture is a great reminder that portraits do not have to be in a bland studio against a white wall! Children always seem better outdoors.Envioronmental Portrait

  • Lauren & Nick's Wedding at Crondon Park, Stock

It was a lovely spring day with warm sunshine for Lauren & Nick’s Wedding.  Our day started with meeting Lauren, her family and bridesmaids at Greenwoods Hotel & Spa where they were getting ready. All was well with preparations although as always the last hour before the Wedding goes extremely fast.  We managed to get of few pictures of Lauren and the Bridesmaids at Greenwoods before setting off to St MIchaels’s Church, Galleywood.  We were able to spend some time with Nick and his Groomsmen taking some informal and formal shots, together with Guest pictures, prior to Lauren arriving in the Horse and Carriage. After the Church service and the taking of a few family group photographs outside the Church we made our way to Crondon Park.  On arrival at Crondon Park, Lauren and Nick, wanted to have some photographs taken in the oil-seed rape field which we were more than happy to go and do!  What fantastic results we achieved!  Lauren & Nick’s Guests were entertained by a fantastic String Quartet who not only played but gave an enjoyable performance.  After a lovely Wedding Breakfast, a few evening pictures were taken and the Guests enjoyed a surprise Fireworks display.Wedding Photo at Crondon Park

  • Pre-Wedding Picture for Vicki & Sean

It was nice to meet Vicki and Sean again, prior to their Wedding.  After discussing final details of their Wedding plans, Vicki and Sean requested a picture with their dogs, which we were more than happy to oblige.  As you can see we were very pleased with the result, considering how lively the dogs were!  Congratulations to Sean, who plays for Braintree Town FC, on their promotion!Wedding Photo at Crabbs Barn

  • Wedding Photography for Natalie & Matt at Gaynes Park, Epping

The rain had stopped as we made our way to Natalie’s Parents’ house for pictures of Natalie and her Bridesmaids as they were getting ready for the Wedding. After taking a few photographs of them we then made our way to All Saints Church, Epping Upland, for the service.   The sun made the first appearance of the day accompanied by a strong breeze which made photographs taken outside the Church at difficult, but we managed. On arrival at Gaynes Park, Natalie and Matt had time to relax and mingle with their Guests whilst we took some informal pictures.  Gaynes Park provides varied areas for photography and as the day passed we were able to capture some lovely images.  After the Wedding Breakfast we were able to take some pictures of Natalie and Matt in the open sided barn as the light was just right and waited for the moment to take their sunset picture.Wedding at Gaynes Park

  • Weddings, Engagement Pictures, Family/Baby Portraits, etc

Wow!  We are extremely busy at the moment and falling behind with our Blog entries, they will be done as soon as possible, we promise!

  • Wedding day time plan

I do hope that the Royal wedding (taking place at 11.0am) will start a new trend in our culture for slightly longer wedding celebrations. Some cultures have weddings over 2 or 3 days!

In this country we seem to often want the wedding as late as possible in the day, with the Wedding Breakfast served as soon as possible after the Ceremony, which leads to some Brides saying, “The Day went by in a flash” – the answer of course is to leave more time. Having laid out all that hard earned money for the day, why not spend a little more time to enjoy it.

The standard time between the Wedding  Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast in the UK seems to be 90 minutes, in which time there is a scrap to take the family pictures, create some beautiful pictures for the Bride and Groom and for the happy couple to relax and enjoy time with maybe 70-100 guests. Think about spending just one minute with each guest and you will see where the difficulties can start!!

This has been solved in some countries by the Bride & Groom having their Portraits created before the Ceremony so they are free to enjoy the time afterwards – OK so it will never happen here but you see where I am going! Leaving just a minute per guest and another 60 minutes for photography will ensure the wedding day experience will be great and not rushed.

Planning a wedding you want to enjoy? Please talk to us, we really can help!

This is just a thought inspired by Kate & William’s wedding time. We hope they have a great day.

  • Wedding Testimonial

It was lovely to receive a ‘Thank you’ from Katy and Rob who were married at Gosfield Hall, Essex, recently.

“Just wanted to write a quick note to say thank you.  Our Wedding was quite simply the most amazing day we could have wished for.  The photos are truly fantastic and we will look back at them fondly for years to come”
