David and I were delighted to receive a ‘thank you’ from Sandra and Drew, whose Wedding we photographed recently at The Fennes, Bocking:-
“We just wanted to say a big Thank You for the beautiful photos you took of our wedding. You both made everyone feel at ease and we are absolutely delighted with the results. The only problem is you have made it very difficut for us to choose the best photos for the Storybook, as there are so many great shots. Thanks again”.
The Wedding of Kelly and Dan had many links to previous Weddings within their families and it was nice to meet a number of familiar faces again. Despite a heavy downpour as we arrived at Kelly’s family home, it turned out to be a hot and sunny day. The Wedding Ceremony was held at English Martyrs Church, Danbury, where a few pictures were taken, then we moved on the Reception at Stock Brook Country Club, Billericay. The back lawn provided the setting for the main family group shots, with some relaxed pictures of Kelly and Dan, by the path beside the Golf Course. After the Wedding Breakfast, Kelly and Dan were lucky to get a fabulous sunset across the lake.
Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa, was the choice of Lisa and Simon for their Wedding. After taking the getting ready shots of Lisa and the arrival pictures of Simon, the Wedding Ceremony took place in the Gainsborough Room. During the Ceremony a heavy shower occurred, and continued for a little while, which caused some alteration to the plan for photography afterwards. Lisa and Simon therefore enjoyed mingling with their Guests indoors, in between family group shots taking place. Surface water did not prevent us from going down to the Lake, and we must thank the staff of Stoke-by-Nayland for assisting us so well, making sure Lisa’s dress stayed clean and dry! After the Wedding Breakfast early evening sun provided some beautiful relaxed pictures of Lisa and Simon, amongst the trees, finishing up with a beautiful sunset sky.
Janna and Stephen chose the impressive Down Hall, Hatfield Heath, for their Wedding. Heavy rain caused us to take pictures indoors or under cover but this did not cause a problem due to our experience and the interior of a great venue. Meeting Janna, Stephen, Thomas and Jack a few weeks previously, paid dividends on the day, gaining the boys confidence, therefore enabling us to get some wonderful pictures. Everybody was very relaxed and enjoying themselves and it was lovely to hear Janna say she hardly noticed it was raining as she was having such a fun day! As a couple of Guests were unable to make the Wedding, Janna and Stephen invited us to join them for the Wedding Breakfast, which was very kind of them.
We met Lauren and Neil one evening at Hadleigh Castle for their pre-wedding pictures. Spoilt for choice with lovely views making for some nice pictures, we came away with some great images. Lauren and Neil are getting married in a few weeks at The Lawn, Rochford, Essex.
Having photographed Layla and Martin’s Wedding in 2008 and subsequently photographed their daughter, Kitty, it was a delight to be asked to photograph their son, Pip, and pictures of the two of them together. That is one of the greatest pleasures of our job to keep in touch and see families progress.
Whilst visiting a couple of Kent Wedding Venues, we took the opportunity of meeting Maria and Kevin again in Dover for their pre-wedding pictures. We enjoyed strolling around Russel Gardens, capturing some lovely images of Maria and Kevin as well as discussing final details of their Wedding in a few weeks time.
We were delighted to meet Nina, Jon and Lucas at their family home for some photographs. Lucas was just one week old when we saw him for the first time and he was wonderful!

Many many thanks for “our son’s wedding album” which we received last week Well worth the wait!!!!We are absolutly delighted with the contents ,an excellent job.However we were “blown away” with Jonathan and Katies album,it is awesome.We can honestly say we have never seen such fabulous work!!!!
We will all treasure these for a long time- you have captured the memories of the day perfectly .

Charlotte and Tim managed to pick a very hot day for their Wedding at Farnham Church, Farnham, Bishops Stortford. This was preceded by final preparations at Charlotte’s family home, followed by the Reception at Tim’s family home. Transportation between the Church and the Reception, which was a tractor and trailer, was provided by Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd, and this made for some fun pictures. The farm setting made a great backdrop for great relaxed portraits of Charlotte and Tim. The evening sun helped make for some lovely pictures whilst Charlotte and Tim walked down the lane and through the long grass. A wonderful marquee Wedding!
